About Us...

Exposing the lies and seeking truth doesn't = Hate. This is not a Kate Hate Site. A 'Kate Hate Site" wouldn't have "Shame on Kate AND Shame on Jon" in the reaction box.

Just a place where bloggers and commenters can share an open discussion on all things related to the Gosselins.

This blog was created to expose the spins and lies shared by the media and by several individuals who continue to spread filth and garbage for their own self-interests.

This blog will expose those who continue to spread lies as "truth" and those who base their beliefs and support for one individual based on those lies.

Origins of the Christan "FISH" symbol?

Do Christians know exactly what this symbol actually symbolizes?   I was once told it represented "Jonah" who was swallowed by a whale and "resurrected" in 3 days.

Christians believe this represented Jesus Christ's resurrection. Also known as "Easter". So The Fish Symbol with the word "Chirst" basically represent's rebirth.

However, some have speculated this this "fish" symbol is actually a "Yoni" symbol.  Which represents the female's genitals.  Over 20,000 years before the invention of the male Gods of ancient mythology, the Mother Goddess was considered the greatest mystic power of the universe.

This is how I understand the "fish" symbol. - A fisher of men. Symbol "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men."

its wonderful that thru various symbols one is able to learn the eternal truth manifested in various forms. a woman's body is considered to be very spiritual coz she has the capacity 2 water and nurture the seed and spring life.
all great men and woman always tried to convey this thru various religions and beliefs. am glad such pictorial explanation can convey a bit.
good job!

Throughout human history, we have seen certain shapes given special meanings. For reason best understood through anthropological studies, we tend to be interested in certain 'type' of shapes.

The infinity symbol, interlaced lines, regressing curves and the like have always been present in the human psyche.

That stylized fish symbol probably does not have an actual 'from the deepest depths of time' origin to it. It might look like a crossed arch, it might look like a vagina, but that doesn't mean it can't have been created in it's current iteration recently.

I believe this symbol is called an "Ichthys" by many. It is told to be a secret Christian symbol used when meeting another for the first time. One person would draw half of the symbol in the sand and if the other person was a Christian they would complete the other half. Kind of like a secret handshake :) GODSPEED.
