Democracy in Communist China?

Thousands of Protestors in China successfully forces Chinese authorities to scrap a waste project plant in China. Protestors are seen flipping cars and destroying property. No one was injured. A far cry from what happened in Tienanmen Square.



In America, protestors are either ignored, arrested or dealt with with lethal force. Can anyone here give me an example where a "protest" was successful here in America? Protesting in America is actually a waste of time. Some of it makes the news, but any protest against a company or war is ignored.
Oh yeah, dont' forget, to protest in America, you need a permit first! You can thank the Republicans for that.
