While driving to grab my lunch, I noticed something strange. The E icon on my android tablet changed to H / H+? Woah! Looks like T-mobile has added 3G/HSPA+ coverage on the 1900Mhz to small areas in SoCal.
See speedtest results comparing the Edge (2G speed) and H / H+ (3G & 3.5G speed).
Hopefully T-mobile will be expanding this to more locations.
H+ (3G) on T-Mobile
- 3.41Mbps download and 1.34Mbps Upload
E (edge 2G) on T-Mobile
- .08Mbps Download / .04 Upload
This is on my Galaxy Tab 7.7 3G. (Not 1700 / 2100 mhz / AWS compatible). The speed difference between E and H+ is just night and day.
