T-Mobile adding new 3G network in SoCal? 1900mhz detected on unlocked Devices

edit: Looks like I stumbled into an older GPRS network and not T-Mobile's 3G network. As someone stated, landing on a 3G network would be indicated by "3G or H" and not "G".

So I'm driving around running errands when I noticed that my Data indicator was switching from Edge (2G) to 3G back and forth.  Reading that T-Mobile was planning to add the 1900mhz capability to their network, I was optimistic.

Currently, T-Mobile is running a 1700/2100mhz frequency band that isn't compatible with unlocked phones.  To run at 3/4G you must have a T-mobile branded phone that is capable of receiving the 1700/ 2100 mhz frequency band.

So I took out my Tablet and tested the speed and was surprised at how slow it really was.  Below, you will see screenshots from my Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 running the Speedtest. 

This is the speedtest done at home.  Notice the "E" for Edge.  I am getting .10Mbps for both download and upload speed.

So driving around, I noticed that there is a Business Park area (About the size of 6-10 blocks) that is getting T-Mobile's 3G network (1900mhz) .  The test below shows how slow the 3G speed is.  I guess their antenna is still under construction.

After testing T-Mobile's 3G network, I drove a block and my status went back to E (for Edge).  I ran a quick test and this time, there was a boost in speed when compared to the 1900Mhz frequency band. 

Speedtest shows a speed of .04Mbps for both upload and download speeds.  This is slower than the Edge network!

Fukushima Cesium Radiation Found In California Tuna

A new study has revealed elevated radioactivity in bluefin tuna caught off the coast of San Diego, California. Contamination concerns have plagued Japan after a massive earthquake and nuclear crisis rocked the country over a year ago.

­A fish prized for its market value and as a delicacy in sushi restaurants worldwide, bluefin tuna are known for their great migratory patterns that start in coastal Japanese waters and span the entire Pacific Ocean, taking them as far San Diego.

While the scientists have said the fish they studied are safe to eat, their findings do raise new questions about the risk of fish from Japanese waters.

“Frankly, we were surprised,” Nicholas Fisher, a professor of marine sciences at Stony Brook University, New York, and a member of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute team that completed the study, told the Associated Press.

The results noted two radioactive isotopes in particular that were discovered in the bluefin tuna; cesium-137 and cesium-134. Neither isotope occurs naturally in the Pacific. But while cesium-137 is known to have entered the Pacific Ocean artificially as a result of 1960s nuclear weapons tests, the only possible explanation for the cesium-134 is fallout from the Fukushima reactor.

The scientists told AP the results were “unequivocal”.

In attempts to quell contamination concerns, Japan has recently introduced even stricter radioactivity tests in the wake of the disaster a year ago. As of April 1, 2012, the limit on allowable radioactive cesium in food in Japan was lowered from 500 becquerels (a unit for measuring radiation in food) per kilogram to an incredibly stringent 100 becquerels.

However, the institute’s study leaves new cause for concern. The team plans on continuing its study on a new sample of bluefin tuna to be caught on the coming months in order to preclude any potential health hazards.

Canada's Largest Protestant Church Releases Report Calling for End to Israeli Occupation

On May 2nd, a working group of The United Church of Canada (UCC) released a long-awaited report on the Israel/Palestine situation. The report is significant because the UCC has one million members and is Canada's largest protestant denomination.

The 23 page report has a very moderate tone, but it calls for the Church to take "concrete steps". Although PCC do not agree on some of its content, as we find (among other things) the report comes weak in supporting the Right of Return for Palestinian. Nevertheless, we find the report an excellent start of build awareness and support for the Palestinian human rights in Canada. We commend the UCC working group for:

The call for an end to the illegal Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories pointing out the loss of Palestinian land The call for an economic boycott of products from the illegal settlements Maintaining that it is possible to criticize Israel without being anti-Semitic Stating that the choice of a 1 state solution or a 2 state solution must be up to Palestinians and Israelis to work out Encouraging Canadian Christians to go to Israel/Palestine and meet and talk to Palestinians as well as Israelis Pointing out that the UCC's recognition of Israel "as a Jewish State" is problematic if this means that Arab citizens of Israel are denied economic and civic equality.

Over a period of nearly 12 months, the working group led by David Giuliano consulted with a wide range of organizations and groups. In January 2011, PCC deligation met the working group and discussed various issues related to the Palestinian human rights. The report is not yet a church policy. It will be submitted for discussion at the August 2012 meeting. Not surprisingly, the report is already being attacked by right-wing columnists like Jonathon Kay of the National Post ("Israel haters have lost the argument") and by lobbyists like Shimon Fogel, of the Council for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA).

Many non-Jewish people in the world today never seem to ask the question of what language the so-called Jews are really speaking. Overwhelmingly it is assumed that they are speaking the ancient language of Hebrew. This could not be further from the truth.
The Khazarian (Turkic) people that call themselves Jews actually speak Yiddish. In fact the word Yiddish means Jewish which comes from the word Yid which means Jew. So Yiddish is not to be confused with Hebrew. In fact the Khazarian a.k.a. Jewish/ Yiddish language originated in the Ashkenazi culture that developed around the 10th century.

The language emerged right out of Rhineland Germany and then spread to Central and Eastern Europe and eventually to other countries. It developed by taking different dialects such as German, Slavic, Aramaic, Romance languages and of course Hebrew. In short it is a Germanic language with Hebrew influence.

Officials: Al-Qaida bomber was CIA informant

U.S. and Yemeni officials say the supposed would-be bomber at the heart of an al-Qaida airliner plot was actually an informant working for the CIA.

The revelation, first reported by The Los Angeles Times, shows how the CIA was able to get its hands on a sophisticated underwear bomb well before an attack was set in motion.

Officials say the informant was working for the CIA and Saudi Arabian intelligence when he was given the bomb. He then turned the device over to authorities. Officials say the informant is safely out of Yemen.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive intelligence matter.

Live Bacteria to be Released by Homeland Security In Supposed Terror Drill Leaves Startling Unanswered Questions

The Department of Homeland Security plans to release a literal live bacteria on Boston area subways “sometime” this summer in what they have dubbed a terror test.

The release of the bacteria bacillus subtilis in Boston subways to test bio weapon sensors is apparently a non event with the corporate media claiming that the bacteria is completely harmless to healthy people.

One major question has literally gone unanswered and ignored in every corporate media report on the tests.

If the bacteria is harmless to healthy people (and some evidence has shown that bacillus subtilis can cause miscarriages) what will happen to unhealthy people who may or may not be riding the subway the night this terror drill occurs?
