Just a place where bloggers and commenters can share an open discussion on all things related to the Gosselins.

This blog was created to expose the spins and lies shared by the media and by several individuals who continue to spread filth and garbage for their own self-interests.

This blog will expose those who continue to spread lies as "truth" and those who base their beliefs and support for one individual based on those lies.

Will Quints by Surprise surpass Kate Plus 8 in ratings?

Both Kate Plus 8 and 'Quints by Surprise' will air next week on Monday. Wonder which show will tank 1st? My guess is the one show which includes a woman everyone is sick of. And her shrieking doesn't help.

Also in the news, Twist of Kate is set to make a November Appearance. So much for "Kate Plus 8" being a summer special. Looks like Kate Plus 8 will air until the Fall. Remember when Kate Plus 8 was only suppose to be a "July" special with Twist of Kate airing in August? What happened? Getting pushed back further and further.

Another show in TLC's future is 'Sextuplets take New York'. A show chronicling the life of a Latino family which will air Sept. 14.

Eventually, ending Kate's contract sometime in December when ratings take a dive. That would be my guess.

Maybe no one will tune in next week and both show tanks! (Just like the "Kate special" that aired a few weeks ago on Wednesday). No one watched it. haha

I watched a great show a few nights ago "Raising Bain" about the Bain family who has 14 kids...all but 1 are adopted. This amazing couple even adopted a family of 8 siblings just so they wouldn't get separated. Almost all the kids each have issues that deal with past abuse by their birth parents and as a result a few have behavior issues that this family tactfully addresses. No elitist attitudes and expensive outings, very down to earth REAL LIFE family. Loved it.

America is sick of the Gosselins, the show has turned into a joke and they are boring.

^ Raising Bain sounds like an amazing story. I will look that up.

And yes, for the most part, people are sick of the Gosselins. I'm still blogging about them and waiting for the 8 to be released from TLC.

I haven't watched any of the 'Kate Plus 8' specials. Never tuned in and never "accidentally" flipping to TLC while it was airing. Which is pretty good seeing that I use to be an avid J&K viewer.

But surprisingly, I am not interested in the new show at all.

TLC is losing more and more viewers. And the trends seems heading in that direction.

Don't tell they tell me took fertility treatments and were "surprised" with Quints. Multiple are about a dime a dozen right now. Hope this is not Khate KopyKat!

That sounds like a very educational show for parents who have either adopted or are thinking of adoption. I would watch that show over the Gosselins any day. Kate+8 is nothing more than a show about a family being spoiled by fame. In these economic times, does anyone really want to see Kate and 8 kids going on lavish vacations and buying expensive clothing/toys while the majority of us are struggling to make ends meet? Feels like it's being shoved down our throats in a nanny-nanny-boo-boo kinda way. Gone are the days of reality tv being about 'real' peoples daily struggles with life.

just wondering said... [Reply]

I haven't seen a single episode of K+8 either. Actually, I haven't watched since the surgery with the dog. I was already livid with Kate, and that episode just sent me over the edge. I was never so relieved as when those dogs left that home. Idiots can't raise dogs - they have no business raising children.

I am waiting for the day justice is served. Kate will be exposed for the fraud and abuser she is.

The truth will come out and it will be a huge slap to the face for everyone who are blindly worshiping their false idol. Katie Irene.

Well it ever happen? Doubt it.

admin said... [Reply]

^ Have faith JJ!! I firmly believe the kids will do a tell-all book and/or movie about their parents when they come of age. Especially when they find out ALL of their earnings went to support their mommys lavish lifestyle, leaving no money for them. I also believe the kids will act out by the time they reach their teens and we'll be reading all about their drug/alcohol/party habits. So sad watching this train wreck of a family. Kate really thinks she has everything (Jon, the kids, the paps, the public opinion) under control. Aaaahhhh but just wait...only a few more years before the kids turn the tables on her.

Anonymous said... [Reply]

I think time will tell. Kate is going to drop her kids under the bus like she does to everyone else.

And when they do go live with Jon, the tups are going to starting demanding the same.

All nine of them living in a small apartment and happier than they ever were living in the Mansion with Kate and the Nannies.

This while Kate is walking around Hollywood in a skimpy outfit trying to get a gig. Maybe she'll go though another fertility treatment and do it all over again.

admin said... [Reply]

LMAO I just had a mental image of Kate and Michael Lohan getting together, breeding new tups and plugging for a new reality show based on their lives!

I have been watching the Plus 8 specials but only to see how they kids are doing, I usually only watch it on youtube too. That way I don't feel like I am giving TLC the ratings. Personally I don't know what is going to happen to the show come this fall. Most of the specials have been based on the them taking "vacations" aka we'll give ya a free trip if you film here but now with the kids in school I can't imagine what else they can do. TLC is gonna get bored with them pretty quickly, I think that's why Quints has been added.
I watched the airing last night and the resemblances in the Kate show is uncanny, even to the opening, they explain their story just like the Jandkplus8 opening was.
Their story is exactly the same too. They couldn't get pregnant so they fertilized, had 1 child and wanted more, fertilized again ending up with 5. The mother stays home with the babies while the father works...so on and so on.
Personally I don't see it picking up a fanbase,it will flop like Table for 12.
Maybe TLC will learn they can't market children anymore.

@TeamJon

Do you know how they ended up with the quintuplets? Did she take fertility treatment?

PatK said... [Reply]

I watched the Jones Quintuplets show. They have a huge newer home, but have to downsize due a big loss in income. Actually, their financial situation was mentioned way too much and was a bit of a turnoff. Yeah, we got it...you have a drop in income (join most of the rest of America)and it's tough with six kids.

Looks like the next episode is them all taking a trip. Here we go again...

Anonymous said... [Reply]

For as negative as everything is that everyone here has to say about Kate Plus Eight, you're certainly giving her and the show a lot of attention!

Anonymous said... [Reply]

@PatK

So it does seem a bit like J&K....

Wondering if this woman took fertility treatment.

I bet she did.

Anonymous said... [Reply]

@Anonymous

Maybe a little. But I'm not watching it, reviewing it or posting any links about Kate Plus 8.

I did post something about Jamie Ayers showing up on Kate Plus 8 and how she gets paid to do the show. Yet Kate flipped out when TLC offer to give Kevin and Jodie a small fee for using their home.

August received: 1.6 million.

Yes, the Jones did take fertility treatment on their 2nd attempt to have kids. But the shocker is that "Ethen" the father, really isn't their father.

The father has very low sperm count and the ones that he did have were not strong enough.

So the family resorted to using "donor" sperm.

On their 2nd attempt to have just "one more", sounds familiar? They ended up with 5 more kids.

And none of them belong to the father.

I think the wife is trying to live as Kate Gosselin. Sad part is, I don't beleive this family will be as poplar as the Gosselins. Maybe they should have opted for an Asian sperm?

Anonymous said... [Reply]

For those of us that live in Austin, you know that the Joneses have been very open about their fertility issues as well as the process to address them. Just because it doesn't make an editing cut doesn't mean they are trying to hide anything as the poster above seems to imply. As far as "belonging" to the Ethan, it take more than sperm to be a father. There are plenty of men who are related to their kids with their sperm and are not the least bit a father! It is clear that Ethan is THE father and that they do BELONG to him. People have to sometimes make choices in how to create a family and unless you have been in that situation you may not want to sit in judgment. I would put Ethan Jones up next to any bio-dad who now has his kid/kids being cared for by the foster care system (500K kids to be exact) and you tell me who the REAL Dad is. Finally, have you looked at the statistics on how many people do IUI and only have 1 child???? Their doctor was interviewed and said that in 20 years of doing this procedure day in and day out, that this is the ONLY time Quints were conceived. Many of us who have fertility problems would gladly play those odds to have a family. Most people play less than those odds on a daily basis. Please know your facts before throwing your accusations!

Anonymous said... [Reply]

Really???? how do I explain this.....OK, here goes. In order to get pregnant the "old fashioned" way, men have large amounts of sperm swimming toward the egg in the hopes that 1 of, oh, about a million plus of the sperm actually makes it to the egg. When a man has "low" sperm count it means that there is significantly less sperm in his "stuff" that actually ejects (trying to say this as tastefully as possible). So, if they could inject Casey with Ethans sperm, because it has an extremely low count, the result would be the same as if they actually had sex and he "injected" the sperm that way. Either way, you are injecting "stuff" that has almost no sperm, and in this case, so little sperm that it is not possible for him to get someone pregnant. Why do I feel like I am explaining to a high school sex ed class?????? Anyway, IUI does not work all the time either, even with a normal amount of sperm. The instance of IUI working on the first try is rare. If it weren't rare, every one who has fertility issues would be lining up to get it done. IUI is an injection of sperm into the woman. Artificial insemination is the combining of sperm and an egg in a petrie dish, making an embryo and implanting an embryo into the woman. AI is a VERY expensive treatment (about 10-20K a pop depending on who is doing it). IUI is about 1-2K, more reasonable, but also may have to be done several times before it "takes". I understand that most people do not know how much sperm it takes to get pregnant or the difference between IUI and AI. However, ignorance is not an excuse to lambast people. I just ask, as someone who has followed this story and does have facts, that you know what you are talking about before passing judgement. I assure you that a 30-60 minute show does not even come close to telling and ENTIRE story. It is entertainment, not a detailed account of someones life. It is good to just keep it in perspective and hold out the possibility that you may not actually have the WHOLE story.

Anonymous said... [Reply]

@Anonymous

Hi Ethan, you have low sperm count. You can still have kids. All they had to do was take your weak sperm and artistically inseminated it into your wife's egg. Again, you wife went through IUI and took fertility drugs.

Doing the above with your weak and pathetic sperm count would STILL give you a good chance of fertilizing the egg and having a child.

I'm not even going to read the entire crap you posted.

Best wishes to you and your family.

Ethan, here you go.

Source..

The introduction of Microinjection Technology into the in vitro fertilization ( Fertilization Video ) laboratory has revolutionized our treatment of the infertile man. Intracytoplasmic sperm injection, or ICSI ( ICSI Video ) (pronounced "eeksee"), is a new infertility treatment that uses micromanipulation technology for treating male infertility. What ICSI promises is the possibility for every man to father his own baby - no matter what his medical problem!

What exactly is ICSI? As the name suggests, ICSI ( ICSI Video ) is a technique in which a single sperm is injected into the centre of the cytoplasm of the egg, in order to achieve fertilization . While this may sound very crude, ICSI allows the IVF laboratory to achieve fertilization with very few sperm. The beauty of the technique is that since the sperm is being injected directly into the egg, all that is needed to achieve fertilization ( Fertilization Video ) are live sperm - no matter how abnormal these may appear to be. With ICSI the equation "1 egg plus 1 sperm = 1 embryo" becomes possible!

Anonymous said... [Reply]

If only I was as eloquent as Ethan!!! Ha!!!

Oh, yeah, where did you get your medical degree? Is there a reason why you think someone would voluntarily use (and pay for) someone elses sperm if they could use their own? Oh, yeah and why would they pay for IUI when they could just have a lot of sex and get pregnant? Oh, yeah, and after oh, 4-5 years of trying to have kids and not having kids, why would you keep trying to have kids by having sex and not getting professional help???? Now, go get you brain out of the closet and put it on and realize that if his sperm worked they would not have to use a donor. He is not the ONLY person in the world who has gone this route. Donors are not reserved for lesbian couples!

Anonymous said... [Reply]

one clarification ----IUI is injecting sperm, In Vitro is doing it in a petrie dish---I did not mean to call it artificial insemination. My apologies. I am not an MD just someone who has been through infertility and knows the difficult road.

Anonymous said... [Reply]

ICSI sounds very interesting and may be a great help to many couples with male infertility. However, when reading the article you attached (I have several friends who have this issue) it states it is extremely expensive because of the new technology and it is available in India????? I have not heard of this in the US. Have you? Not sure most people can afford to travel to India to retrieve their low sperm???

Here you go. ICSI treatment in Texas.

http://www.houstonfertilityspecialist.com/icsi.html

Anonymous said... [Reply]

Interesting and I will be passing this on. Thanks for the info. Lets just assume (since this is in texas), that Ethan and Casey pursued this option and for whatever reason it was not an option. I KNOW that is not as much fun as second guessing and slamming his intentions, but maybe....just TRY!

Anonymous said... [Reply]

@Anonymous

I'm not going to "assume" they went to this option. Because clearly, they wanted Multiples, well maybe not Ethan, but Casey surely did....

ICSI would clearly give you 1 baby... And Casey, being a wannabee Katie Irene Gosselin, decided to go through fertility treatment and IUI. Which resulted in multiples.

They didn't say anything about the above method being the LAST choice. They never stated that they failed on multiple attempt to have kids naturally.

So what should I assume? Usually, when someones goes through fertility treatment, they usually say it was after "multiple" failed attempts. And it was the last resort.

So, why use DONOR sperm and take Fertility Drugs and go through IUI?

The entire scheme doesn't sound right to me. And now she has a TV show?

Obviously, not that many people are interested in the show. It's going to suck when they will not earn the extra income from the reality show.

Hopefully, Ethan lands a good job...

Anne MacPhee said... [Reply]

I like the show a lot... and I really don't care how the babies were born. They are... and they are gorgeous kiddos and honestly, why would you wish away a child?

So what if he is not the sperm donor, Ethan is the father. I am a foster and adoptive, as well as a biological mom. I am a mom to all of them. I am not any less of a mom to my adopted children rather than my biological daughter. Honestly, this argument is ridiculous.

Why does it matter to you what method they used to create their family?

Trucker said... [Reply]

I truly do not believe this family wished for multiples. Until I know if Casey has fertility issues of her own, I can't comment.

IUI is cheap, relativley speaking, so there must be something more to it.

Casey does not look like she had a tummy tuck. Do we know this for sure either.

Ethan does not strike me as a guy who wanted 5 kids. He is pretty type a to me. And I do not believe for a minute they set out for a tv show.

My stance is mandatory reduction for the mother and babies sake, and obviously so the family can afford their kids.

Crabitha said... [Reply]

I just found this topic. How funny that Ethan popped in to "correct" you. You handled him really well!

After reading this, I have no interest in even considering watching the show. I don't like to call people names but he was a real jerk.

Bri said... [Reply]

Hi! How do you know Ethan popped in to correct? That's an assumption and you know what that stands for! I am a premed student and let me tell you this. IUI is not as costly as ICSI or IVF. Is it not their right to have children any way they want. They were open about it. And I can also tell you, IUI is on 20% successful on the first attempt and you usually only get 1 baby out of it. Do the research.

Also, my husband and I are recently married and I have another child that is not his. In fact her father flaked on us. My husband has been the only daddy she knows and is a real Father, though he is not her father. It does not matter how someone becomes a father, if they love those children as if they were their own, then the children are very blessed! Why condone something about someone you know NOTHING about! That is very idiotic to say the least. Get an education!

And yes, while they do have expensive cars, and did have a huge house, they needed to downsize because of the economy. Ethan did say he had some really good years and with the economy the way it is, he is struggling to make ends meet, exactly like 1/2 of America. I deal with helping people out of work and hopeless people all the time. People that WERE very successful! They are as real as you can get. Turning to ask your father to help you out, is a sign of HUMILITY! Do you know what it feels like to ask others for help? I doubt Casey wanted 5 more babies at one time. She is NOT another Kate. If you know anything, you'd know Kate is consistently going on Expensive trips and also shopping for herself. Not to mention who as a mother of that many children has the time to always dress up and were new clothes and heels everywhere. It's not real. Seeing how more conservative Casey dresses, she is NOT trying to pull attention to herself.

And no one knows what the money is going towards that TLC pays them. Who knows, maybe it's for the children's college education. Let's get realistic. If they were putting it towards their own needs, they wouldn't have to sell the house. Add do you know how much it costs to raise 1 child, let alone 6 at one time? I doubt it. Ethan seems to be very smart and I just don't think he'd try to get in over his head so he couldn't afford to raise these children. Thank God the Jones have their Faith in God, because it's people who don't know them or the circumstances that can hurt them. They are as real as you can get. And it's a bit refreshing to see that they aren't so well off, like Kate. Ethan evan went back to get his Master's Degree, which anyone who values an education knows that was smart. Yet hard. I have raised 3 kids putting myself through school. I know the challenges. So Casey had to do a LOT of it on her own. They don't always have helpers.

I hope the show succeeds because it's a much better reality check than J&K ever were!

And for those who like to judge others, take the plank out of your own eye first before you try to remove the speck from someone else's eye.

^ The went through IUI AND took fertility drugs. Kate especially. She was hospitalized for over-active ovaries.

Anonymous said... [Reply]

actually i would like to tell you guys that no Ethan was not here whoevevr said he was clearly does not know what there saying they do not have time to be checking what people think of them and also no Casey is not like Kate, But if you all go back in time you will realize that kate was not always like that she use to be simple till jon changed her for the worse she got the hold of money and lots of it and most of the trips kate takes with the kids are payed from the owners to get baically free advertisment just like the man who gave kate that tummy tuck they are not stupid people and having that casey also got one was completly free by the man who operated like i said these people are not stupid. and i dont think casey is like kate well not yet you never know because kate was not like that in the beginning at all. I say you guys have more respect for these people because you have not lived a day in there shoes, and who cares if there not ethans kids and how he got them. he is the father because he cares for them, and yes it does sound like kates story one more got 6 more but life is all about repeating. and discovery health clearly does not pay them enough because they had to downgrade and watch every penny they spend. the economy is tough and tlc is going to pay them so be it if you got the oppurtunity you would take it without thinking, dont say you wouldnt because that is a lie. so save the drama and get a life and stop trying to hate on casey and ethan its there business not yours.
