If GWOP is,
* Against child abuse
* Against child exploitation
* Against domestic violence / abuse
Then an anti-GWOP is,
* For child abuse
* For child exploitation
* For domestic violence / abuse
The more you know.
Pursuing Truth, Exposing Lies and Informing the Sheeple

Good points, Jibber Jabbers.
I think the sheeple perspective is so skewed that they can't think logically. It's just blind allegiance to Kate and her ways. Very sad.
I'm still not sure what they are supporting? LOL
Kate and her new hair?
It seems in order to defend Kate many have adopted the method of attacking gwop, Jon and any other blogs and posters that consider it wrong to exploit children on reality TV programs. The argument about hiding behind the exploitation claim because it's really just hate or jealousy has become quite old and tired. If I wanted to hate or be jealous of someone I certainly could think of hundreds of other people in line ahead of Kate Gosselin. It's such a ridiculous claim that I don't think even they believe it. They just say it because it's the best they've got.
I think you're right Lauren. So many times the argument is, "I love Kate and I love seeing her and the children on TV. I miss them so much." etc., etc.
I don't care if they want to love Kate and the kids. I wish they would look past the surface of their "love" and consider the harm and invasion of privacy for these kids just because the world loves them. And Kate uses that to her advantage to make money and enable her to have the "famous" life she desires.
There are other "hate sites" besides GWOP? I know about "Preesi" but I didn't realize there were a lot.
I really don’t think their freakish behavior with regards to Kate or their anti-GWOP rants have anything to do with the Gosselins per se. IMO, I suspect it’s just a case of mob mentality.
On ROL, it seems like initially one or two of them were denied their voice over at GWOP and instead of just shrugging it off like most, they became resentful over it. The mob was build from there around the faux “cause” of Kate, when really it was built around anger at being excluded. Their icon could just have easily been any controversial celebrity since it’s not really about the celebrity but venting anger at others. If you notice, most of the time when they mob posters with an attack it is all about scaring the poster off, winning the battle, etc. and not about making an intelligent argument to defend Kate.
Sites like that are perfect for internet mob bullying; it’s anonymous, you can have 10 different screen names, no moderators and it’s a very transient site meaning most comment and then move on. They can rip posters apart, then just come back as someone new. On sites like JJ’s or GWOP, poster were drawn together specifically to discuss the Gosselin’s then stayed to “chat” and get to know each other. It’s not quite as anonymous and people identify you through your moniker so you don’t want to be rude to other posters...just like in "real" life.
I did some Googling a while back and found they have actually done studies on internet blogs and mob mentality. As you would guess, many feel powerless and unsatisfied in their “real” lives and can act out without repercussions online. It’s a very unhealthy method for dealing with life. Google internet mob mentality and you will get a slew of articles about this behavior. Here’s just one http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/2653461/the_mob_mentality_in_internet_forums.html?cat=9
You're assuming that those of us who are anti-GWOP believe that GWOP is against child abuse, child exploitation and domestic violence. Speaking for myself, you assume wrong. I have a problem with what GWOP is, not what GWOP claims to be. There is a distinct (and vast) difference between the two.
Beachmom,
Great explanation. I get the same feeling as you do about many who claim to be "anti-gwop" posters. Their focus seems to be more about expressing anger, with GWOP being the designated target, rather than defending Kate or justifying why it's okay for the kids to live in front of a TV camera. I also think they see anyone who is protesting the kids being on TV as automatically being their definition of "GWOP people" and therefore someone they have a right to bully. I seldom post at gwop but do on occasion if I think it's pertinent info. There have been times that my posts haven't gone through either. I don't know why because there's nothing that would be offensive or contradictory, but it's not worth getting upset about.
I've read several people on GWOP that are genuinely concerned about the kids. I don't think everyone can be lumped into the same basket even if they are posting on the same blog and generally in agreement.
SchmeckyGirl,
I know of a few more blogs around that have posters who are like-minded about keeping the kids off TV. I don't consider them "hate" sites because I believe the posters are genuine in their opinions about the Gosselin children being exploited by their parents and TLC.

So what do anti-GWOP blogs talk about besides bashing Jon and supporting Hailey, Lohan, Kate Major, Kate Gosselins and TLC?
As you can see, this site is no longer team Jon.
Unlike the sheeple, I don't support Jon blindly. Allowing the kids back to filming was the last straw.
Lets see how this all plays out.
Will Jon say "GOTCHA! TLC", I told you their suit against me was only because I took the kids away.
Or well he be hoping to be in a show on TLC with his kids and Kate? Maybe Kate +8 will continue and Jon gets nothing?
We'll have to wait and see.
How is calling Kate names, saying the children are bratty and not cute anymore child advocacy??
@Schmecky Girl
I have seen your postings on other hate sites. Why would you say something like that? When you were reporting your tweeting conspiracy you seem to have found most of them.
@Beachmom
Do you not see the hypocrisy in your own statement? Have you ever read the mob rantings on Z's and other blogs? Just because you support their views does not mean it is not "mob mentality".
I have never seen any personal bonding on this site.
If it was about child advocacy people would be contacting their representatives in Washington letting them know they want national legislation protecting children in reality TV shows.
I have never bashed Jon in defense of Kate. I have never put the children down in the name of child advocacy. I do not post at ROL because I don't believe in bashing other posters. Everyone should be able to state their opinions without fear of being attacked.
That's another thing about GWOP they do not allow opposing views. In the beginning they did.
IMO TLC, Jon and Kate are all equally responsible for this mess. I think most of the people who support Kate are doing so because of all the one sided personal attacks. I do not believe it is in support of her parenting skills or filming of the children.
Yes some people say they miss Kate and the children on TV but I think they are in the minority.
I hope the children are never filmed again. They deserve their privacy.
Anonymous,
I posted that at a few "tabloid" sites. Those aren't "hate sites".
I posted that at Moon's too (and that's pretty much the only thread I ever commented on there) but it doesn't exist any longer so you can't count that.
Is Z on TV a hate site? I didn't think it was. Maybe some of the people that comment hate her but I didn't think the blog itself was a hate site. Maybe I'm wrong. I don't think that a blog that is clearly against TLC is the same thing as a blog that is clearly just against Kate.
But I was under the impression there were "a lot" of hate sites out there from some comments. Two or three is not a lot. I was just thought maybe there was a whole slew of them that I wasn't aware of.
I agree though that everyone should be able to state their opinions without being attacked, however, I think that happens at both the "hate sites" and the "non-hate sites". I think anyone that poses an opposite opinion of the majority on the site eventually gets personally attacked. Taking on a person's argument about Jon and/or Kate is one thing but attacking the person themself is another.
@Anonymous
Hypocrisy, no, you just missed the whole point of my post. A general site where a rogue group of posters ban together and attack anyone who has different views with personal insults to "chase them off" is displaying a "mob" type mentality. Their behavior is not about Jon, Kate, TLC, GWOP, anti-GWOP...it just about the power. That is MOST DEFINITELY the case on many of the gossip site boards, ROL was just an example. Google and read the articles.
When people seek out a blog regarding a specific topic and post their opinions on the subject, it is not mob ranting...it's posting on a message board. Opinions are stated and any who disagree can do so. I have never seen a poster being mobbed with personal insults from others at GWOP just for the fun of it, regardless of their opinion. As far as I can tell, most posts re: Jon or Kate gets through...it’s a board specific to the Gosselins. I imagine (and am grateful) that the overly derogatory or offensive ones are deleted...it’s a moderated board. ^^ shrug ^^
BTW, I don't read Z's(?) or any other sites. I was directed to a couple of different sites and did check them out, but I'm just not feeling that BS.
I never stated I agree with any personal attacks on Kate or Jon. I think its wrong, no matter what site it is on. IMO though, they both want to make their living off the public and therefore should expect that the public can and will have an opinion on their behaviors, appearance, etc..
As for bonding, I never stated there is personal bonding going on. I meant that you get to know posters through their screen names and yes, that makes the chatting here a bit more personal at times than at the gossip sites. IMO giving out too much personal information on any site is asking for problems that none of us want or need.
I agree with you 1000% that TLC, Jon and Kate all have to share the blame for how this situation has turned out. IMO Jon and Kate both need to move on and stop using their kids to support their family. I believe that has been the mission of GWOP since its inception through contacting advocacy groups, state agencies, letter writing campaigns, etc.. As for TLC, for a company that makes their money off of OUR backs, they sure do treat their own people badly and to me, that says a lot about what they think of all of us.
Sheeple still hasn't answered the question. What is a anti-GWOP blog? LOL
It's the opposite of GWOP correct?

I think you're capable of answering the question for yourself. I've seen you post on at least one anti-GWOP blog, so I can only assume that you are aware of what is discussed.
So an anti-GWOP blog is about Matt Heckman? LOL
