Z on TV
She wasn't on long, but Kate Gosselin more than made up for it Wednesday night on "Barbara Walters 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009" with her elaborate claims about the ways in which her children are allegedly suffering because Jon took them off TV.
Hey Kate, please stop using your kids this way. It's pathetic. You should be ashamed of yourself.
"They cried in the van," she said telling Walters a classic sounding made-up Kate story if ever I heard one as to how on the way home from school the other day, the children asked where the "camera crew" was because they "missed them" so much. When she told them the camera crew wasn't coming back because the show was over, the children cried and cried.

And you should probably be even more ashamed if the story is at all true, because it suggests how little emotional support and ballast you have provided for the kids as a mom if they are crying over the departure of a production crew. Do you realize what an empty emotional life they have if they miss a production crew? They don't miss dad, just the lighting assistant and the craft services guy.
But why did Jon do this, take them off TV? Walters asked.
"Because he could," Kate said, implying Jon took the kids off the air and ended the series as a show of power because he's a bully.
Jon wasn't the bully in that relationship as anyone knows who watched two episodes.
Kate has become such a reviled and controversial figure that even Walters, one of TV's biggest hustlers in her own right, felt compelled to tell Kate that "some people" feel she has "exploited" her children.
"Unless you have lived in my house," Kate said, and then she was off and running on her bogus litany of all the wonderful things TLC has done for her and the children. At the top of the list are the "vacations" they provided.
I wonder if pimping out your kids to a cable company is worth a vacation to North Carolina. Some people don't have the money for vacations, but then, their kids aren't forced to earn a paycheck that goes to mom when they're 5 years old.
I realized watching Kate Gosselin tongiht that I have reached my limit with her. I thought I would miss her in some strange way when they show ended. Not a chance. I will write about her because the sociology of this fraud is is fascinating. But I have to say she really has become a despicable TV character.
Good luck with finding an audience for her this spring, TLC.
