Looks like a tree trunk with a dress on. Kate doesn't have a "female" figure. Short legs, no hips. Hmmm.. What's the real reason Kate couldn't have kids? Maybe Kate's real name is Nate Kreider?

The Discovery Network which owns TLC as well as at least 10 other channels posted a worldwide gross income of 3.52bil for 2009. However their net income after all expenses was 552mil.

Go to Radar, Sage's and other sites. You see a few crazy Kate fans wishing Death or Harm on Jon Gosselin.

I mean it's one thing to not like someone, but to wish HARM on someone they don't know is just sad.

Go to any Kate fan BLOG, and you see hundreds of pictures of the kids on their blog. Can you say PREDATOR. LOL

The only time I use pics of the kids is when I post in article about them. Kate fan blogs have literally hundreds of pictures of the kids posted on their blog.

They'll follow you over here, and that's how you know that you made the right decision to leave. They need you more than you need them, trust me. When they get bored of the group-hugs (and they will, since most of them are supportive of each other in the first place because they are so alike), or their self-esteem gets a little shaky, they'll come here. They have Kate in common, but they're all about themselves, too. They'll either be looking for something stimulating to do, or to elicit reactions to themselves.

Social reactions provide us all with positive cues about ourselves. Kate sympathizers, or allaboutmes as I call them, seek such cues (and thereby, attention) constantly. They are every bit as sappy about themselves as they are Kate -- they love themselves. The problem is, they don't know what to *think* about themselves; they are ill-equipped to attend to their own sense of self-esteem. They use the positive bits of attention from others to balance and inflate their (totally biased) self-image.

When they come around, it's likely they are experiencing unstable self-esteem and self-worth. To get reactions, they usually stir up trouble. Basically they exploit. The best thing to do is stomp on their self-esteem straight away. If you don't, they'll probably just say something smart-assed before they leave. Let them rant and rave about Jon. They won't be reasoned with about him because Kate has little else going for her. She must have had umpteen plastic surgery procedures to improve her looks. As desperate as she was to get a TV gig, she couldn't leave the kids for 3 months because she can't afford to look worse, as a parent, than she already does.

She showed her bad side anyway, talking smack about winning DWTS. I guess it made *her* feel good for a minute, but dance practice will cure that. She'll probably cause some big drama if competition doesn't go her way LOL... I'm going to keep telling the truth about her, in the meantime.; March 8, 2010 at 4:01 PM

I think I won't, after all. I don't watch any of the talent shows, except for the clips on YouTube. And as much as I would love to vote against Kate, watching the show for that reason would be a vote FOR her in the long run. The show TLC was supposed to be developing for her was something about taking on various tasks and challenges. I don't know what happened to that exactly, but they were testing ideas such as having her work in a diner and who wants to watch someone working in a diner. I'm with you on this one OrderlyL. I have never watched DWTS and I have no plans to start this season just because Kate is on.

I do not know how TV ratings work, but I would imagine it doesn’t matter if Kate gets voted off 1st, 2nd or 3rd – if the viewer audience is up for the shows Kate is on, they will consider her a big draw. More viewers for Kate = more money for the networks. More money to be made = Kate and the kids on a new show sooner rather than later/never.

I’m not saying people shouldn’t watch. If you are a DWTS fan and enjoy the show, have at it but if you are someone who’s not a regular viewer, I think tuning in to watch Kate and vote her off is going to have the opposite effect you are trying to have. If she attracts a larger viewer audience, whether it’s viewers who like her or dislike her, she’s never going to go away.

Now, if this were Top Chef, I would have a huge dilemma since it’s the only show that I look forward to a new season starting. There is just something about some of those guest chef judges that I find incredibly yummy! ;); March 9, 2010 at 5:52 AM

My better judgment tells me the same thing, although I understand the temptation. Kate, with her smack-talk, incites helpful, cooperative, group-minded, security-seeking individuals (and there are a lot of them, like, 40% of the population) to organize against her. And there's no counteraction in the media, no cautionary voice saying, "Don't."

If only some journalists would remove some of the public suspense, and report on why Kate will probably dance just fine, maybe even very well, and that a vote against her is actually a vote for her...even one lily-livered, chicken journalist. But journalists are a typically sappy, narcissistic bunch themselves, and rather sympathetic of someone of Kate's type instead of critical of her flaws.

One of the main differences between the two types of personalities is that the "journalist type" is stimulated outwardly by abstract, inherent possibilities and meanings in situations and events, whereas Kate is attracted to sensory details. (Which, by the way, explains Kate's failure to intuitively grasp the consequences of her actions.) Schmeckygirl is an example of the type (no offense to her friends). And the typical journalist isn't judgmental in the first place -- mostly content to find out what's going on and tell everyone about it.

Furthermore, the press can't take a stance that is supportive of Jon without striking a certain nerve of hypocrisy in themselves, but that's a whole different subject. Suffice it to say they love themselves. They won't bear down on Kate unless they are given some reason to...she'd have to somehow anger them, or Jon would have to appear to have suffered some great, meaningful injustice. Or, the PA Dept. of Labor would have to decide that J&K+8 violated child labor laws.

It's one thing for a woman to be known to have been a bitch to her husband, but it's quite another for her to be legitimately, legally, and therefore, unarguably to even the most nonjudgmental person, known to have allowed her children to be in a position in which they might be harmed. Kate proved herself to be a smart bitch, a capable con artist. She paid lots of lip-service to concern for the kids' safety; but, the press would be all over an official report which indicated otherwise.

Oh, the newspapers they could sell to that aforementioned, concerned, 40-odd percent of the population. The press would throw Kate under the bus in a New York minute, and her fall from grace would be complete. I come to the same conclusion every time, and I know how I would reason that the Gosselin children were working as actors. But, I'm not a resident of the State of Pennsylvania, and I don't suppose their Dept of Labor is interested in stopping Kate's ugly face from burning the eyes of the nation's celebrity-gossip lovers. Crap.

I might have to take desperate measures, take a page from Kate's playbook and, when I'm in the grocery store and I see magazines with Kate's face on the cover, turn them around in their racks.; March 9, 2010 at 11:11 PM

Funny how the kids "chooses" to not match when they're with Jon. But when they're with Kate, they all of a sudden, want to "match".

I think she'll dance good, for Kate. She's no Nicole Schogha;pu;nejgj (sp?). Kate has a good temperament for dance, in that it should come easily to her. Ex., Jon once remarked that Kate has a short attention span. Dance is an activity that should be stimulating enough to hold her interest. She likes to have attention on her, too. She doesn't have shyness that would hold her back...stuff like that. But, she has to use her own body. Quick inventory..

Two pregnancies with multiples, one of those a whopping six babies

App. 35 years old

I'm guessing that she doesn't get as much sleep as she needs, overall, and hasn't for five years.

Has had little to no athletic or performance-type training, as far as I know.

If her exercise routine consists of running on the treadmill every day...that's not quite the same thing as training as a performer. She has a lot of strength and flexibility training to do. Otherwise she won't be able to execute her movements very gracefully, no matter how well she memorizes them.

Then again, three months can't fully erase years of not training or magically give her coordination. I'm speculating on things, though. I don't know how complicated the routines are or what the judges look for.; March 10, 2010 at 10:48 PM

Which is to say, criticism interferes with her mental picture of herself, the inflated self-image she creates from bits of positive attention which she obtains by projecting herself as something she is not. It's further confirmation of her narcissism.

It's not going to stop unless the press has something on her, some activity or behavior detrimental to the kids, that's worse than smacking them in the mouth. Bingo -- that's why Kate's commuting.

She has great instincts for making sure the press isn't upset with her. Scheming, manipulative bitch. The press is happy to not have to write tough stuff about Kate, as long as she doesn't make them look too close. They don't like to do research, either; that's why they're not working in science labs. Journalism is a natural occupation for a certain personality type that's curious about inherent possibilities and meanings in situations and events. They're happy to let the Kate-situation play out, and see where it goes, etc. But that's bullshit, because they have a hand in making it go somewhere!

They're indifferent, or don't respond, to the feeling of the many, many people who keep saying quit shoving Kate Gosselin down our throats. The press ignores it. They just tend to be sympathetic to her type because they have narcissistic-type behavior too, or close to it. Their feelings are directed inwardly toward themselves.

And lispy, dumb sap, Barbara Walters kicked it off. She's a slut, too, if I recall correctly.

Good point. That would be a good point to work into an action against the press for the unethical reporting they've been doing...if I think of any realistic action to take. The press has a considerable amount of power, and there might not be any point in doing anything unless I can come up with an effective strategy. Exploiting their own message boards might work, maybe. I do think I would approach it from an ethics standpoint as mentioned above.

Kate's family is a perfect example. The press "forgets" about things like that for Kate, but the bastards won't let US forget about her ugly mug! And People magazine is reporting that her dance partner, Tony Dovolani, calls her a "role model mom". Right, I agree. I consider him completely blameless. He and Kate have to work together, so it's natural for him to supportive. But, not for him to be in the middle of kate's personal drama. They barely just met. To me, it doesn't seem like a normal collaboration and, to me, it seems like that's what a reporter would explore writing about -- the drama, the people, their quirks, their chances at competition, etc..

Nope, reporters seem to think that Kate's hurt feelings, and emotional support from her partner, are meaningful and interesting to write about. They must realize how fragile her narcissistic self-image is, and has been, and they have to care for and protect it.

Exactly right about the experience comment! You're preaching fire and brimstone here about YOUR experience, not mine. Obviously your schedule isn't so rigid that you don't have time to rant and rave here about how you know better than anybody.

No one is trashing Kate for needing to work outside the home. Millions of women do it every day. I did it before I retired. The objection to Kate is that she is tossing the emotional needs of her children aside in order to fulfill her own needs. Not what I call the definition of a mother. And yet she lies to "her public" and constantly bombards us with how she puts the children first. And sorry, but that's just bullshit.

My contribution, two beautiful children, six wonderful grandchildren, a husband of 42 years, a mother & father married 51 years before my dad died, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, on and on. All who love and respect each other and who put family above all else. A contribution that everyday people make every day and it's way more than enough. Kate Gosselin has defended herself to critics who think her appearance on “Dancing With the Stars” will take too much time away from her kids.

“Why can’t a mom have fun?” she said in a recent People magazine cover story. But her eight children apparently feel differently.

While Kate was away from Feb. 21 to March 6, leaving her twins and sextuplets with nannies (not ex-hubby Jon), the little ones “were asking, ‘When is mommy coming home?’” according to an Us Weekly magazine source.

Nine-year-old twins Cara and Mady “seem depressed when Kate isn’t around,” per another source, while her three 5-year-old boys evidently acted out and “got into trouble at school for talking back to teachers” during her absence.

But the undeterred Kate is setting her sights on the competition and “wants to be a huge star,” a source close to the family said. The kicker: her rather overreaching choice of celebrity role models.

“She says Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have lots of kids and their parents are away for long periods, working to support them,” the source said.

Well, if fans vote Kate off “Dancing,” we’ll be left guessing whether they wanted to send her home to her kids or if she’s just a horrible dancer

Ran across this post on Dr. Glass' blog, from back in September maybe, about Kate getting rid of the dogs, and didn't know if you'd seen it. I'm a little disappointed in Dr. Glass since she was too generous in her assessment of Kate's appearance (performance, as Dr. Glass called it) on Kimmel's show. But she used to make good calls about kate.

"Kate has known about being on DWTS for more than a year. She wasn't "ready" at the time, even though it was her PR people who pressed DWTS to have her.

That's why she all of a sudden started caring about her appearance, got a boob job, started wearing nothing but heals and sexy clothes to get used to them, started working out like a fiend, started tanning, and is the reason for the weave/extensions in January.

It took her over a year to even be halfway ready for this and it was all planned a long long time ago. Of course, the Jon drama/divorce was a huge monkey wrench thrown in her preparation, but don't believe for one minute she was "asked" to do this anytime recent. Noooooo she knew for a very very long time. She even said it herself, that she's known for a while but couldn't say anything.

This is not uncommon. Most of the stars ( not all ) know many many many months ahead of time that they will be on. Linsay Vonn already knows she will be on next fall. Donny Osmond knew 2 seasons ahead of time when he'd be on.

So, this has been the reason behind the hooker heals, the incesant tanning and exercising, plastic surgeries, and may even be the reason nobody ever knew where she went when Jon had custody ( because she was off somewhere taking secret dance lessons.)

When she starts spouting the crap that she only had 3 weeks to prepare, don't buy it. She's been preparing for over a year. She knew WAY before she gave any hints on Jay Leno's 10@10 that she'd be on this season. It was already a done deal, and is why she was so anxious to get the divorce finalized by the end of 2009."

Fellow zloggers, the above could answer a lot of questions such as why the original episode of J&K+8 Get Rythym never aired and why she wears high heels everywhere - even when they are deemed inappropriate.

However, IMHO, even if the above is true she still needs votes to survive each week and I just don't see the majority of the public buying her credibility as to why she is on the show in the first place since she is NOT a star but someone who exploits her kids.

Folks for the record I won't be watching DWTA; I refuse toadd to the rating numbers. I will count on you guys though to fill me in as to what happens, and if it does appear that she is not a clutz like her 50 sec promo with Tony and it is probably true that she has been taking lessons for the last year, then she is laughing at all of us ... and will continue to do so all the way to the bank.

BTW the other point made on GWOP is that photos were taken of Kate taking 2 tups to a concert when in fact Kate, Steve and Tony left on a red eye to LA. As for the tups it seems they did go to the concert (5 min from the airport) and a nanny who was already there brought them home in a limo.

The last promotional clip I saw seemed to fit that assessment, although it's hard to say because the clip was more a demo of Kate's personality than the pair of them dancing. Personality disorder, I should say. She seemed to be having trouble concentrating, and basically blamed him for it. If all of their practices went like that, they screwed off a lot.

It can't help that people dog her every step of the way. Narcissists have self-images that tend to get unstable. The differences in her moods, depending on how much attention she's receiving and what kind, are obvious. After I read that post, and considered how long Kate probably actually has been preparing for DWTS, I still tend to think that bipolar disorder is behind a lot of her behavior. She constantly tries to manipulate people, to feel both good and bad. The negative attention wouldn't seem to serve the purpose of a narcissist, unless their self-esteem increases to the extent that they make others feel bad. My guesses aren't formally educated, though.

I do know one thing...I don't feel bad about dogging her. And the press -- typically, they don't care for researching facts so, in general, they should leave their feelings out of their work. Their own professional organizations discourage bias. Surely they realize that most people who actually buy and *read* the news don't do so to find out how reporters feel about it. Speaking of politics, I ran across interesting reading at Dr. Glass'.

...Here's how I see this season breaking down from a betting perspective (all odds are from Bodog) and here are my ‘Dancing With the Stars’ predictions:

No Chance

Every season there are several contestants who clearly have no chance of winning or even lasting very long, but still have some reason to appear on the show. Buzz Aldrin is a heroic astronaut, but at 80 years old he's clearly not a world-class dancer. He scored the lowest score in the first round, and is 100/1 for a reason. Aiden Turner is much younger, and as an actor and model you'd think he might be able to move, but his performance in the first episode, at least judging by the scores, means that his stay will be short as well. He's 30/1. Niecy Nash is an actress I have never heard of, but apparently she is on ‘Reno 911’. She's the second longest shot on the board at 50/1, and wasn't entirely competitive in the first round. Some weasel-y reporters are always nosing around somewhere to find out who messed up so they can tell everyone about it. Besides, look up a picture of a breathalyzer and see if it is an accessory you want to have in your car. Have a designated driver with you or have the number to the Tipsy Taxi stored in your phone, etc. Don't make us have to kick your butt.
