About Us...

Exposing the lies and seeking truth doesn't = Hate. This is not a Kate Hate Site. A 'Kate Hate Site" wouldn't have "Shame on Kate AND Shame on Jon" in the reaction box.

Just a place where bloggers and commenters can share an open discussion on all things related to the Gosselins.

This blog was created to expose the spins and lies shared by the media and by several individuals who continue to spread filth and garbage for their own self-interests.

This blog will expose those who continue to spread lies as "truth" and those who base their beliefs and support for one individual based on those lies.

The Secret World of Jon and Kate

A new book is out covering the life of Jon and Kate. Not exactly sure what it covers but looking forward to reading the reviews. From the description, I gather that it's mostly focusing on the "celebrity life" of Jon and Kate. Covering the drama created by the tabloids.

Will it mention anything we don't already know?

*** edit: Yes, after going through the 1st 22 of the 32 sample pages, there are a few new things I haven't heard about. A must read for anyone who is into the Gosselin saga.
*** update: After reading a few reviews, it seems that the later pages are all about Jon and the tabloids.

The Secret World of Jon and Kate: The Stupidest Story in the History of the Universe and the People Who Covered It.

Ebook Description
The crazy world of Jon and Kate Gosselin like you've never seen it before! Al Walentis reported on the story for Us Weekly and he delivers a pull-no-punches account of the madness of tabloid journalism, taking you behind the scenes to show what it was really like at ground zero when international paparazzi swarmed into Wernersville, Pennsylvania to cover the unlikeliest celebrity story in history.

Snippet from the Book. (You can read more of the sample on the site).

"A family source said that while she was pregnant with the sextuplets, Kate grew “obsessed” with how many goodies the famed McCaughey septuplets received in 1997."

A beaten man, Jon Gosselin tramped up the steps to his apartment. Jon called it his apartment, but it was nothing more than the upper level of the three-bay garage a few steps to the right of the family’s $1.35-million home in rural Lower Heidelberg Township, Pennsylvania. He had a kitchenette, one bedroom, a living room with a couch where he could crash. The barn, down a gravel path where the obstetrician who lived there before them stabled his horses, looked absolutely more spacious.

How Kate loved thinking that Jon lived in exile, a hermit, inside what she viewed as the servants’ quarters, and how Jon hated how she gloated. She plied him with a $5-a-day allowance, even when the television money poured like golden rain, his leash so tight he gagged for five years. The family had only moved to the 23-acre manor, built in 1998, last November, but already the marriage had shattered. Still, it was better to crash miserably in the servants' quarters, Jon thought, than to wage war in front of the kids.

Jon’s buddies said they missed the old Jon, the spry, chipper, always-smiling Jon, the friend who vanished once Kate sunk her fangs into him and chewed off his manhood. Now he was a national joke, an emasculated, kowtowed dupe, mocked by Kate for even daring to breathe — breathe! — during one episode on TLC. Sure, that was part of the shtick that made him a reality star, but reality bites, and Jon was sick of it. He was playing Richard Burton’s George — no, a weaker, spineless George — to Liz Taylor’s Martha from “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” But at least George had the stones to uncage his shotgun and terrify the hideous shrew after the humiliation melted his soul.

After reading a few samples pages, it sounds like a very well written book.

A must read of the uninformed sheeple and newbies who believes every lies the tabloids printed out.

Before the world knew this marriage was kaput

From Kelly Dinardo’s blog, February 16, 2009:

I interviewed Jon and Kate Gosselin for a Valentine's Day story called 8 Love Tips from Jon & Kate. While on the phone with the couple, Kate yelled at Jon for interrupting her, said he wasn't very good at communicating and generally treated him like he was a misbehaving child. After his initial attempts at answering my questions garnered such a response, Jon kept quiet.

The publicist, who was also on the phone, recognized the interview was spiraling out of control and suggested Kate tell me about renewing their vows in Hawaii.

Kate lost it.

She yelled into the phone, "I'm so sick of talking about Hawaii. It was really nice, but it's over and we just keep re-hashing it." Dead. Silence.

I asked a few more questions, trying to coax something, anything out of them. They juggle so much, there must be something they do to keep their marriage afloat.

Kate said, "Marriage is a lot of work and anyone who says it's not is lying." OK, but what do you do to work on it? How do you work on it?

Jon’s supervisor at Style Craft Corp., a custom cabinetry business in Lancaster County, was David Rothermel. But Jon’s real boss, as Rothermel saw it, was cold-hearted Kate.

“She used to give him only $5 to spend,” Rothermel blabbed, “and if he was out and needed more money, she would give him hell."

Once during her pregnancy, Rothermel remembered Kate storming into Jon’s office, blowing her stack because Jon’s father failed to deliver her lunch.

The bad blood between Jon and Rothermel ran deep. During Jon and Kate’s speaking engagements, they would single out Rothermel as the man who “did not want to insure [Jon] … they let him go.” Their contention was that Jon’s employment was terminated because Rothermel was too cheap to pay for health care for the sextuplets.

As with many words that drip from the Gosselins’ mouths, their version of events is not backed by solid evidence.

Jon filed a claim for unemployment benefits after his dismissal, and investigators determined he improperly worked a side job on company time. Rothermel said Jon was fired for abusing company resources by working the phones and scouring the Internet on a ”quest” for freebies, all the while boasting that he would never have to work again.

Like I said, some of the stuff, we all already know. But it nice to see that the story and accounts of the things that people "blogged" about is now published and referenced is provided.

Like the above excerpt where Jon was only given a $5 a day salary and how Kate stormed into Jon's office and made a bitch of herself. Kate was and still is a fucking bitch. And Jon is still a freaking idiot.

One would think that it would make more sense to drive and pick up the food yourself instead of heading to your husband place of work to bitch and make a scene about it.

I wonder who watched the kids while Kate was running to make a bitch of herself?

Jon's father was "late" in delivering you food? Give him a break. Unlike you Kate, he has a job and even gave you and your family a couple grand to help you with your rent and utility you ungrateful piece of shit.

Long live the die hard sheeple! They need something to blog about.

It all needed to be put in one book. Al can handle a few amateur sock puppets I am sure.

Love the blog!

Loved this blog said... [Reply]

Until Crazy Irene showed up.
Please, don't let her take over this blog like she took over Z on TV and RWA.

I really didn't read anything I hadn't heard about before.

I'm just wondering what you found out that you didn't already know?

Anonymous said... [Reply]

Yes, some of the stuff are all "rehash" of things we already know. But it's good to have all this stuff lumped together for all to see. Especially seeing that reference are provided for each account or event that took place.

There are few things I did not know from the 30 pages sample I've read.

I won't get into them now. But this is a great book for those who continue to close their eyes and worship Kate.

After reading a few reviews, it seems like the 1st free pages are all about Kate and how she treated other people around her.

But the later pages, is all about Jon, his whores and more Jon bashing.

hmm...

Well, good thing I didn't jump the gun on it.

I finished reading it and I was somewhat disappointed.
There were some interesting (and frightening) snippets about Kate but the majority of the book is about Jon.

Not much new but what was new was a little frightening - she is evil.

I want to know what the hell happened for her to hate Jon so much. Kate would rather see Jon in jail than work with him on child support.

Jamie better watch out.

Still many unanswered questions about Kate.

I'm guessing the same reason she hated Jodi. Jodi was a lot more popular and received a lot of fan mails. This irritated Kate. Jodi was seen as a caring lovable aunt and treated the kids well.

From Season 1 though 4. Jon was the "good guy". People were disgusted with the way Kate treated Jon. Then in season 4, Jon wanted to call it's quit.

Kate herself said she loved it and didn't want it to end.

Of course this isn't the entire picture. The only reason I can think of is she's just a hateful person. Once someone is on her bad side, they better watch out.

I think Kate though of Jon as extra baggage once she didn't need him any more and Kate has no tolerance for maintaining contact with people once she is finished with them. She has to maintain contact with Jon and I think it infuriates her. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if she tries to alienate the kids from him.

Suspicious. Al wanted an interview with Jon but Jon declined. Could it be because Al gave the same opportunity to Kate/TLC then started a bidding war between J&K. The highest bidder won the best review.

I'm speculating Kate/TLC paid off Al to take incriminating info out of the original draft. Jon has no $$ to out bid Kate/TLC so he got the worst end of the deal. Hence, the Jon bashing continues while Kate/TLC continue their gravy train.

Al, just wondering, how much $$ was Kate/TLC's payoff for the revisions? Too suspicious for intelligent minds.

So the stupidest story was regurgitated by s shrewd journalist jumping on the Gosselin gravy train while the train is still rolling. Smart move to continue bashing the father of 8 when he seems to be seeking guidance to transform his life. Kate/TLC gets the gold while Jon gets the sh*ts. Great story Al! Hope you're proud of yourself!

just wondering...

Yeah, Jon is the extra baggage Kate won't be able to get rid of. That is probably driving her INSANE!

Quick synonpsis of J&K's history: She saw him at a party, heard his father was a dentist, worked herself into a frenzy to catch a rich man's son, no morals, saw $$$ signs everywhere, tried to get pregnant RIGHT AWAY to keep her grubby claws on Jon's potential inheritance, couldn't get pregs ASAP, fertility treatments to speed up the process, saw how Jon's father adored the twins, wasn't satisfied, tried a 2nd fertility treatment for ANOTHER set of multiples, YES SHE KNEW WHAT SHE WAS DOING! The rest is history.

The Gosselin gravy train was on a roll. By the end of season 4, Jon had enough, wanted to work on his marriage, Kate was addicted to her 'BIG DREAM' of stardom & lavish lifestyle of freebies, Steve entered, Jon was uncomfortable, Kate chose TLC & Steve over her marriage, Jon went stupid crazy. The rest is history.

Parent alienation is probably at the top of her list! She'll be on TV crying to the world, "I'm doing it for my kids." What an Effn B*tch!

My post disappeared! What happened?

jibberjabbers said... [Reply]

Looks like they're all there to me?

Anonymous said... [Reply]

Yep, Jon's father helped them out financially. Jon really needs to write a book and let everyone know the truth. Kate is despicable.

HI 50 said... [Reply]

jj, Kate/TLC has a strange hold on Jon's larynx, he can't seem to find his voice. WTF!?! Seriously, he needs to speak up about what really happened between him & Kate. TLC may own the brand but they don't own the human being & the relationship.

Jon, if you're reading this, SPEAK UP! Kate is RIDING the gravy train, LONG & HARD while you're home licking your wounds. Wonder if Al got a payoff from Kate/TLC to take out incriminating information that would make Kate look REALLY BAD.

Sorry about the earlier post, there was a delay/glitch in my computer in the early morning.

I was interested in the book after reading the 1s free 30 pages, but after reading some of the reviews, looks like I'll pass this one up.

As the description of the says, it is more focused on the tabloids and the stories they published. No "secrets" of Kate revealed.

Paula Caldarella said... [Reply]

Nothing new with this book. Don't waste your money buying it. Al Walentis is just another in a long line trying to make money off the Gosselin saga. He has no inside info - he's just a blogger taking tabloid stories and putting those together and calling it a "book". Heck, most of us could do that.

Anonymous said... [Reply]

Thanks for the info. We pretty much all came to the conclusion that most of the info in the book are all "rehashed" stuff written in blogs and message forums.

Thanks for sharing this link, but unfortunately it seems to be offline... Does anybody have a mirror or another source? Please reply to my post if you do!

I would appreciate if a staff member here at thelyingchannel.blogspot.com could post it.
