'Jon & Kate' to be replaced by 'Cake Boss'

"Cak e Boss" will replace the moribund "Jon & Kate Plus 8" on TLC.
The network is set to announce that "Cake Boss," now in its second season, will take over for "Jon & Kate" at 9 p.m. Mondays beginning Nov. 30.
 
The show, which revolves around Buddy Valastro, the owner of Carlo's Bakery in Hoboken -- which creates elaborate cakes for all occasions -- has performed well for TLC, averaging over 2 million viewers per episode this season, which premiered Oct. 26.
"Cake Boss" had been airing at 10 p.m.; it's not yet known what TLC will air in that timeslot after Nov. 30. (A "Cake Boss" repeat will air at 10 that night.)
