BUT, before TLC put a stop to Jon whoring himself on TV, Jon was also a ratings 'goldmine'. He was all over the media, from magazines to special guest appearances. Jon actually did good in those appearances. (Nancy Grace ripped him a new one, but he handled himself pretty well considering he and his lawyer at the time "Mark", were both tool bags.
Jon could be earning $$$ for he and his family the same way Kate is. By taking advantage of their 15 minutes and milking it.
If Kate is having such a "hard time" making ends meet, why not go to TLC and negotiate with them to allow Jon to work in the media?
Well, because Kate wants the spotlight. Jon, being more likable and less awkward than Kate would pull most of the attention away from Kate.
Kate is a narcissistic tool bag. And main reason she is doing what she's doing is to remain in the spotlight. It has NOTHING to do with her kids. She loves the attention.
You don't think that if Jon were allowed to be on DWTS or appear The View to tell his story, people would be watching?
