Exposing the lies and seeking truth doesn't = Hate. This is not a Kate Hate Site. A 'Kate Hate Site" wouldn't have "Shame on Kate AND Shame on Jon" in the reaction box.

Just a place where bloggers and commenters can share an open discussion on all things related to the Gosselins.

This blog was created to expose the spins and lies shared by the media and by several individuals who continue to spread filth and garbage for their own self-interests.

This blog will expose those who continue to spread lies as "truth" and those who base their beliefs and support for one individual based on those lies.

SHEEPLE MAG VOL. 7

Kate Gosselin tells people that she is still divorced and that the kids miss Jon when he is away. She says that despite the fact that things looks like they're settling, by no means is she having it easy. Life is hard being a single mother of 8.

Sounds familiar? LOL, it should. She's been saying the same crap over and over for the past year. Running out of materials are we?

Kate: Look, I'm the bestest dancer in the world
Leah?: Look, I'm a monster... Just like mommy.

Just one week after getting voted off DWTS, Kate was "depressed" and was missing the attention she was getting. Now that she is back in LA and hasn't seen the kids in over a week. Is she "missing" the kids? Is she "depressed" for being away from them for so long? NOPE. Kate is enjoying every minute away from her 8 kids.

A Typical Sheeple. Holy Cow! Wonder if she's on welfare?  She obviously isn't at work. Afternoon on a weekday.  And they call us "fat" and "old". haha  Remember sheeple/haters, when you point finger and call someone old, fat, & on welfare, 3 more fingers are pointing directly at you. Well, in your case, 3 stubby, chicken mcnugget fingers.

Sheeple Mag. Vol 6 is out!

Just saw that, as of today, Kates' new book has sold a grand total of only 10,084 copies, according to Bookscan and has tanked eerrrr ranked at 862 on Amazon. I predict I'll be seeing her book in the Dollar Store by late summer/early fall. That's where all stinkers end up.

They are filming again today.
Fuck Kate.
I hate her for doing this to her kids. She is a selfish C U NextTuesday and I think she NEEDS to be stopped.

Wow, 10,084 copies? it still made zondervan over 250k. That's a lot more than what I had expected. I feel sorry for those that bought that book. They have been ripped off.

Yes, filming has began. I find no problem with this. The only problems I see is that Kate is using her kids once again.

Why not film HER OWN SHOW, instead of exploiting her kids? Oh yeah, because she cannot carry her own show.

Back to filming. Notice the kids aren't wearing helmets while sitting on their brand new bikes. I guess since TLC got the green light to film the kids, the kids can now have fun and will get plenty of freebies..

How do I know the bikes are new? Look at the white tires.

I bet the trip to the Statue of Liberty that was canceled will begin sometime during the summer?

Read 450,000 copies of the book were printed. The hucksters better get busy. They only have 439,916 more books to sell.

I was in my local Walmart over the weekend. Ended up in the book department looking for a new mystery, was just about to leave when I decided to look for Kate's book. After much searching, finally found it. WAY back in the corner on the bottom shelf with the Christian books. Three of them sitting there. Picked up a stack of other books and covered them up.
... I'll probably rot in hell for that. I'm a bad person. ;-)

LOL, I would have moved it to the adult section or the fiction section.

Kate books has flopped. Most sales occur during the 1st month. Kate has promoted her book and herself for the past month or so. That book received more publicity than Multiple Blessing written by Beth Carson.

Yet it tanked because no one is falling for it like they did with 8 little faces.

Throwing out random bible versus and a few scribble here and there.. That isn't a book worth reading.

Multiple Blessing was well written and took a long time to write.

Letters to My kids, and Eight Little Faces, I bet it took no longer than 2 weeks to write that crap. Kate should have released a coloring book for her kids.

Meanwhile, a Pennsylvania Judge has ordered the divorced couple to attend a 3-hour parenting class according to TMZ. The judge in their bitter custody case has ordered them to complete the parenting class titled “Children in the Middle,” which is said to be a requirement for all parents involved in a custody war in Berks County, PA.

Straight from the horse's mouth. Kate experienced Narcissistic Withdrawal, sunk into a narcissistic depressive episode and/or bipolar depressive episode after she was booted from DWTS. (Also predictably, she didn't tune in to watch the remaining contestants.)

JJ - If you find this too OT of the Gosselins, no problems if you delete this post.

The following link was posted on GWOP

http://spiritswander.blogspot.com/2010/04/storyline-cheat-sheet-in-little-people.html

While it is not directly about the Gosselins, I agree with the original poster that even though it involves LPBW, it shows what kind of "reality" TLC is putting out there. It's from a LPBW blog and shows the mother sitting next to a paper that clear says Storyline Cheat Sheet but you can't read the smaller writing.

JJ, you seem to be a wizard with photo software, any chance you can blow it up clear enough to see if it is indeed a cheat sheet for the show or if it's something completely unrelated.

BeachMom said... [Reply]

LOL! I just realized, I recognize that bottle sitting on the desk in the above link, that's a Smirnoff Ice Triple Black. When hubby wants something other than a beer, that's what he reaches for.

You go girl!! With TLC filming you all the time trying to stir-up drama, you'll need several of those!

They preach against people using the term "Midget". But their Son, Jeremy openly uses the words "fags, beaners, niggers" etc etc, on his myspace blog.

The Roloffs issued a statement but didn't apologize for any of it. Previously saying that people were too "sensitive" and should get over it.

Interesting coming form these Little people who get offended when people call them midgets.

Why is Jon Gosselin attracted to woman that look like men?

1) Kate Gosselin
2) Hailey Glassman
3) This new woman Ellen Ross.

The only woman that really look feminine was his previous fling: What's her face. The one that looked Emo and like to dress in black all the time.

http://x17online.com/news/2010/04/x17_xclusive_jon_gosselin_move.php

Jon Gosselin has a new laywer. Mary Vidas.

Jon Gosselin has selected Philadelphia-based attorney Mary Vidas as his new divorce attorney, her law firm tells X17online exclusively. Her firm, Blank Rome, call themselves "Professionals For Amicable Divorce."

Makes sense that Jon would select Vidas considering the father of eight recently tweeted, "Kate, her attorneys and I are moving forward to work out things privately and amicably."

Anthony List, Jon's former attorney, is speaking out about getting fired telling X17online exclusively, "I've known Jon since he was born because his father and I were friends. I didn't sense that there was any disconnect between the two of us. I felt like we were moving in a good direction. I've never been fired before so this is kind of new." List tells us that Jon gave him the boot "through an email."

Sources close to the custody case between Jon and Kate tell X17online that the couple have finally figured out that "they can be more effective in making money if they work together." Our source adds, "I believe their fighting has run the gamet."

For the children's sake, we hope so.

As for Mary Vidas, her bio says, "She has represented numerous individuals in a variety of complex family law issues, including divorce, equitable distribution, alimony, custody, and child support." Sounds like a good pick for Jon!

Even though Kate is gone, I've been checking out the DWTS performances to see how the other contestants are doing. Scrolling through prior weeks' videos, I found a little gem that I'd somehow missed before -- an interview where classless Kate said the judges pissed her off. For anyone else who hasn't seen it, it's at about 1:50.

Neicy is keeping the show interesting. She is hilarious with her comments and remarks.

I hope she makes it top 3.

Heck, I read that the ratings are still in the 20 million mark. So they are doing just fine w/o Kate. They didn't even lose that many viewers at all.

Ratings were slowly dropping even when Kate was on the show.

And yes, we can clearly see it on Kate's face when the judges told her what she needed to do.

Instead of listening to the judges Kate thought she continued to do nothing....

Publicity Stunt GONE BAD. LOL

OrderlyL said... [Reply]

I have no earthly idea what Jon was trying to accomplish on the legal front. To me, it seemed like Anthony List was competent and not easily intimidated. The last thing Jon needs is an amicable lawyer. Kate's lawyer is a dirty bastard; from what I gather, he was bluffing when he said Jon's lawsuit was full of errors because the court would not have accepted it with such errors, much less set a court date.

I don't think Jon actually wanted full custody. It would be best for the kids if he did, but the mere thought of having full custody of eight kids probably struck terror in his heart. It would for many men. I would have liked to have seen Jon get 50% physical custody and pay $0 child support. Still, it's normal to sue for everything under the sun, and plan to negotiate -- especially since the case against Kate wasn't cut-and-dried. Maybe List didn't make that clear, and Jon overreacted to List's public posturing (which was necessary, or else List would have looked like a wimp).

I don't know why else he would have fired List, unless TLC coerced him. I do think Jon is stubborn and does not think a problem is worth solving unless he can solve it himself. He used to enjoy everything from assembling furniture to working out deals with the paparazzi -- but he didn't give a crap about a hair transplant. He likes to fix things more than he likes to have them fixed for him. Apparently he is not so dumb as to think he can fix his own legal problems, though, since he had hired List. All he had to do when TLC dangled a job in front of him was to tell List that there were going to be some changes to the proceedings.

jibberjabbers said... [Reply]

Who knows. Maybe List wasn't qualified? List did "bash" Kate in the media and that wasn't very professional. His gum chewing on National TV was also very unprofessional.

OrderlyL said... [Reply]

That's the kind of public posturing I mean. Kate's lawyer was doing it too; he said Jon was jealous of Kate being in the limelight. List is a former U.S. attorney, and I don't think they hire "just any" lawyer for that. Maybe firing List was the only way Jon thought he could take the job and not look like a hypocrite but I think he burnt an important bridge.

Just curious - how many of you post on "15 Minutes"? I am becoming more and more convinced that site is a "setup" by Julie Carson May. Let's face it, the author lives in Califoria and is constantly posting pictures of Kate and the kids. It may come across as an "anti-Kate" blog, but the author sure tries to keep Kate's name and picture out there. It's one of those "any publicity if good publicity". Kate and her handlers get a lot of attention at pointing out the so-called "hate sites". I think 15 Minutes was setup by Kate's people to be one just to keep the talk going.

Also, why submit a post about a blouse Kate is wearing?

Go look at Baby's Mama blog or Sage's blog if you what to see pictures. Even stolen pictures from TLC websites (BM blog).

Again, just using it to prove a point and making some comparison. Otherwise my point will be mute.

In other news, Tony is reminded just how much fun DWTS is. He got his chance to work with Niecy Nash while her dance partner was out sick..

Niecy Nash Jokes About Kate Gosselin

OKMagazine

“I told him welcome to it — you’re going to have a partner who smiles, who laughs, and who admits she’s happy to be away from her children,” mom-of-three Niecy told reporters after the show. “Get ready! We’re going to have a good time!

“[Tony] just laughed,” Niecy said. “It’s all in fun! I said, ‘No offense, Kate!’ He just started cracking up and said, ‘Well, let’s dance!’”

Of course, hilarious comedian Niecy was poking fun at the rumors that Kate was difficult to work with on DWTS (which Kate and Tony both always staunchly denied to OK!).

As far as Niecy and Tony are concerned, it was the beginning of a beautiful friendship but Louis is still her main man — he fully recovered from his food poisoning and they performed their best dance ever on Monday night.

I wouldn't put it past TLC at all. They used a family up this way, kept them feuding and sometimes even poured gasoline on the fire until this couple went into self-destruct mode. And then the execs had the audacity to make the divorce announcement a major event on Monday night programming. Oh, but everyone says the kids will be just fine with nannies for parents. It is definitely a twisted story.

10 reasons why Kate's book bombed

jibberjabbers said... [Reply]

Everyone has improved on DWTS. Even Chad. I mean Chad was one of the lowest scorer on the show.

And Chad wasn't a dancer and has no history of dancing. He is also tall and very lengthy which can make him come out looking unbalanced and awkward. He sure fixed with in no time.

Shows just what hard work, practice, dedication and listening to your instructor can do...

No excuses from Chad either. Unlike Kate. Boo hooing about non-sense "affecting" her "dance". If you can call it that.

jibberjabbers said... [Reply]

Looks like Kate has made a few new friends. Out with the old and in with the new. After all, Tony does have some connection to Hollywood.

(A narcissist only keeps friends that have something to offer). Tony = Access to Hollywood?

Kevin & Jodi = Free baby sitting services
Beth Carson = Free sitting services, and a free book which Kate took credit for.

Kate Gosselin & Tony Dovolani's Playdate?

"Our kids will probably have some playdates soon," Dovolani said. "I absolutely think that would be fun. People love talking about kids, so we always have a good conversation that way."

It probably doesn't hurt that Dovolani's wife Lina is looking forward to hanging out with the mom of eight as well: "My wife is a big enthusiast of Kate's show, so, yeah, it'd definitely be great to get the families together."

Absolutely true. Chad is one of the few who have done what their pro asks of them without complaint. His dancing all came together this week; his posture was good and he kept his focus throughout the waltz, a difficult task compared to the fast-paced Cha Cha. This week it was so tough to name one I would rather see go home. Thank god we do not have to watch Kate compete at this level. But darn, both of my girls were in the bottom two. I'm hoping it didn't hit Pam too hard since she did mess up in the Cha Cha challenge.

-----------------------

I don't post there. I don't know that it is a "setup". I think the author is biased in favor of Kate, yet wants her blog to be neutral or, as she puts it, "different than other big Gosselin blogs out there".

http://gosselindivorce.blogspot.com/2010/04/no-more-annoymous-please.html

With anonymous posting banned, neutrality is an idealistic, not realistic, goal. Banning anonymous posting will essentially have the same effect that GWOP's moderating did. It will piss off Kate lovers. They will feel shut out. I'm not saying that they ARE shut out; I'm saying that's how they'll FEEL.

The blog will be "different", though, I suppose, in that the owner is somewhat biased in favor of Kate while most of the posts are against Kate.

Kate has nothing interesting to offer on her show. Kate is LUCKY the kids are back. And maybe even Jon will make a few "guest" appearances on the show.

I also suspect that Jamie will also appear on Kate's new show.

Maybe TLC was filming a trip at the mall? Because we all know Kate wouldn't take the kids anywhere unless the cameras are they to record every minute of it.

Kate even canceled the trip to the Statue of Liberty. Remember that? And she had the nerves to blame it on Jon.

The tups are in their typical matching outfits. So Great time for filming.

I'm not going to watch either, not even on YouTube, unless MAYBE something particularly newsworthy happens and I want to see what the talk is about. I hope not, though. TLC will persevere with this crap as long as they get ratings. Hopefully most people realize that the cuteness factor outweighs the fact that these kids are being put to work...or, maybe they would only want to see Kart if she's making an ass out of herself.

BeachMom.. Al Walentis, the author of the book, is one of the good guys. He has been in the trenches of the Gosselin story from day 1. He is a local, he was a reporter for the Reading Eagle for 31 years, and his recourses are vast in number. He also served a stint with US magazine last summer. This will be a good book and Al knows a lot of the secrets. If anyone can finally pull the plug on this merry-go-round, it's Al.

Yes, he will make money, but so what? The truth needs to be told by someone, and it might as well be told by someone who has lived there and seen it all. Al was laid off from the paper last year along with dozens of people which gave him this opportunity. Please give him a chance.

Just wondering...

When I hear of a book like this coming out, I have ask, what is the agenda? Is it to stop the Gosselin children from being exploited or is it now about satisfying our own voyeuristic needs?

I don’t begrudge anyone for making a buck, but you have to realize that it is still being made by exploiting the tragedy of the Gosselin saga. I fail to see how you can put him out there as a “good guy” because he’s no better than Jon, Kate, TLC or anyone who looks at those kids, the drama that is their life and sees the dollars to be made.

As far as his book being the truth, I am just amazed that you would write that. The only people that will ever even come close to knowing the truth are Jon, Kate and the 8 and from the blurbs on the blogs about this book, it doesn’t sound like he had a heart-to-heart sit down with any of them. This book will only add fuel to the fire and ensure that the kids are kept in the spotlight, no privacy, no childhood and nothing to show for the loss of it when they become adults.

I have no issues with those who are looking forward to reading this book, and I will be right here with all of you discussing it, but let’s at least be honest, it’s about reading some juicy gossip and hearing the “secrets” on the Gosselins because it sure as hell is not going to help those kids.

If the book has any success at all Walentis will probably make money on it. Under certain conditions I have no problem with that. His reasons for writing it only he knows so I'm not even going to guess at that, but it should become evident after it's published. It sounds like he had no face-to-face conversations with Jon, Kate or TLC so the book will probably be about first hand observations and conversations with others in the area. Quite frankly, even if he had talked with the parents or the TLC execs I wouldn't believe much of what they told him as far as the facts are concerned. I don't trust any of them to tell the truth as it really is. Kate has never seen anything wrong with using the kids for an income and Jon flip flops back and forth. Clearly, TLC is in it for the money and they don't care who gets hurt in the process.

If Al Walentis has credible information that will expose even in part, the behind the scenes events that contributed to the reckless disregard or out and out exploitation and abuse of these children, then I will deem the book not so much as a continuing exploitation of the kids, but more as written documentation of terrible wrongs that need awareness or legislation to be righted. I don't think we can know until we read the book. It should be interesting...

OrderlyL said... [Reply]

Maybe Al Walentis has secrets to tell, but I think his book will effectively make Kate more famous -- people will not think twice before they buy it (just when her 15 minutes might have been over, damn it!) -- and HE KNOWS THIS.

"With that kind of loot on the table, you'd be stupid not to welcome salacious tabloid scandal to keep your 15 minutes of fame afloat for another season (i.e. $1.5 million). And the Gosselins certainly are not stupid when it comes to self-promotion."
http://www.greaterreadingonline.com/al-walentis/2009/5/22/maybe-its-time-for-kate-gosselin-to-hook-up-with-a-rod.html

Whether the truth about Jon and Kate is unfair to the kids is an interesting question. We do it all the time.

IATK said... [Reply]

Hi OrderlyL,
The book is certain to increase her exposure at least temporarily. I would suggest she might be more infamous rather than famous, which is probably one in the same in her eyes. But as for any type of lasting fame, I have my doubts. I do think most people are getting tired of the whole Gosselin saga and would just like for them to go away. A big part of the truth of that will be how her shows fare in the ratings. Ah, the kids. They've been so emotionally abused by all of this by now...how much more can they be expected to endure and not start lashing out.

We saw and heard how Kate handled being booted from DWTS with what she called post-DWTS depression and now her book has bombed. I wonder how she'll handle two failed shows, if that happens. I worry for the kids. They almost always look miserable when they're around her from the pictures we see.

I guess in the end somebody was bound to write this book or one similar. It was just a matter of when and who. I just hope this one does more good than harm but either way, I'm afraid the damage to the kids has already been done and will continue as long as they are the wage earners in the family and until they get help. The big question, who is going to help them?

jibberjabbers said... [Reply]

Well the books is all about Jon and Kate (not the kids) and he is exposing them for what they are.

If that is the premise of the book, then I might be interested. I may not purchase it but I will check it out at a local Library if it's available.

If he has all the inside info, then I think the book may be interesting. Will if give the two knucklehead more exposure? Maybe? But it may also enlighten a few sheeple who blindly support Kate like she is the world's best mother and does no wrong.

How will the kids feel about it? Don't know what to say. The kids have already been through a lot because of the two knuckleheads.

OrderlyL said... [Reply]

Hi itsaboutthekids,

Infamy or notoriety are more correct words to use in reference to Kate, that's for sure.

After Kate changed her looks and began hiding her true personality, many people began to believe that Jon was the reason she used to be such a bitch. Even Dr. Lillian Glass was fooled. Kate certainly didn't care if Jon got the blame. Why should she -- they're divorced. Her true self came out on DWTS and turned the tide. But who's to say she can't manipulate the public again?

If new dirt is presented in a way that Kate can blame Jon or anyone else for it, she will. She would throw anyone under the bus. I don't blame Al for writing a book if he had material for one. I'd do the same thing. I do doubt that anything whatever he has to say could prevent exploitation of children by the entertainment industry. Legislation is already in place. If officials drag their feet investigating a complaint, and do next to nothing after their investigation concludes that laws were broken, I don't see what good will more laws do.

PA DOL did require 15% of the gross proceeds from J&K+8 go to a trust fund for the kids. I'm guessing it's several hundred thousand dollars. However, the money can be used BEFORE the kids are 18 if needed for their "safety, education, welfare or health". That's nearly everything but toys! And why wouldn't Kate spend it?

PA Labor Dept issued a comment "It's important to note that we did an investigation and we made sure the children were not in any danger or endangered as a result of the work they were doing." I've said it before -- Kate is always careful to give the appearance that she is ultra-concerned about the kids' safety. She knows exactly how to exploit situations.

And she will exploit Al's book. I doubt he has dirt that is worse than some things we know about Kate, but it should be more complete, and perhaps reveal the full extent of the family's dysfunction. Since many people don't search for the facts about Kate like we do, it will open a lot of eyes. But she'll be on talk shows sobbing and blaming and carrying on about the kids before we can even read the entire book.

Yes, and according to the DOL testimony this "investigation" included a phone call or two to the production company to ask if they were breaking any laws. But by their own admission they never ONCE visited the children's workplace (their home) to see for themselves if the children were truly safe. I find this incredible. What kind of slipshod investigation was this? These kid's childhood was being stolen from them and that's called an "investigation"? What thief admits to the crime if you don't bother to confront him with the evidence? The PA DOL didn't make sure of ANYTHING. They made a couple of calls and then shoved the report in their out box. I'll repeat what Gloria Allred said, "I'm shocked"!

IATK said... [Reply]

As far as Kate exploiting the book, of course she will. She spent years exploiting her children, her ex-husband, her family. This is documented fact. A book will be a walk in the park for her. It is a double-edged sword, isn't it. It will be her word against Al's and any sources he references in the book. I guess it will depend on how much credibility Kate has left with the viewing public and how much undeniable fact is included in the book. I'm afraid this script was written the day TLC wrote a contract saying they would be more than thrilled to exploit this family and the deal was sealed when the parents signed on the dotted line.

Here is an excerpt from an interview with Bill Hayes, producer of Figure 8 Films. These are children with hearts, minds and souls. Either way, the kids have never had a chance. Draw your own conclusions...

Family Man
Meet the producer behind Jon and Kate, Table for 12, and 18 Kids and Counting.

By Jamin Brophy-WarrenPosted Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, at 7:39 AM

...Had there been no divorce, no paparazzi, no "Team John" and "Team Kate," Figure 8 would still be camped out in the Gosselin home, cameras in hand, following those eight precocious children from room to room, grade to grade. "It's sad, because we were in the middle of our stride," Hayes says. "There were still so many stories to tell."

Like I said before, it didn't look like the "investigation" did much. TLC already knew it had to acquire the proper permits to film the kids for the new season. TLC also stopped filming the kids in their rooms, bathrooms and so on.

The only thing it did was "get the word out" and gave J&K more attention.

All TLC got was a warning. Not even a slap on the wrist. Best thing is to not watch all future episodes. If you really have to, just wait for it to go on utube.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Exactly. It is beyond belief. Filming was over before the DOL even moved. And nobody has any reason to dispute the kids' safety. Kate was always aware of that issue. She confidently told Natalie Morales:
"Coming from a mom who laid on bed rest from the time I found I was pregnant — from seven weeks pregnant to 30 weeks — and would not put anything in my mouth that would harm them, and fought for every second of their existence, I can tell you there is nothing that would ever force me to put them in harm's way."
I guess she also meant she sacrificed booze and pills for her unborn babies. LOL Pat on the back for Kate. But safety isn't the only reason for child labor laws. Just like you said, there's the potential for stealing their childhood by working them too much. I can't imagine the manipulation Kate must have used on the kids to keep them from accidentally revealing that it was work at all.
I guess the State didn't check with Mady and Cara's school to determine if work interfered with their education. Also, the kids were left under the supervision of a production crew member at times, which is illegal. Perhaps most shocking is that breaking PA's laws for minors in performances is only a misdemeanor. But TLC wasn't even charged with that.
§ 11.7. Penalty.
Any person who violates any of the provisions of this subchapter or who interferes with the Department or its duly authorized representative in the enforcement of such provisions may be deemed guilty of a misdeameanor and may, upon conviction, be punished by fine or imprisonment, or both.
Kids filmed during taping for Twisted Kate... Are we surprised?
I thought Twist of Kate would feature Kate traveling and giving advice to other parents? Or what it about Kate doing different Jobs?
Oh wait, Jon allow the kids to film, so it's now back to just taping the kids play?
http://infdaily.com/2010/05/kate-gosselin-lays-down-the-law-filming-twist-of-kate.html
------
Kate Gosselin's new show Twist of Kate is supposed to be about her visiting other peoples' homes and giving them "tips" on how to live/parent. Basically, Kate will tell them all the things she thinks they're doing wrong. But the key is that she's in other peoples' houses.
So why did INF Daily's photographer catch Kate filming the show with her kids here? And she looks like she's really in her element - standing on high, bossing everyone else around.
OrderlyL said... [Reply]
So far there aren't pictures of any other adults present when the kids are performing...in the pictures from ROL a couple of weeks ago, it looked like Kate was still allowing production crew members to be alone with the kids, which is against the law.
Jon Gosselin bartend for Charity. Proceeds going to a local food bank.
While Kate is busy exploiting her kids and taking them out of school to film her new gig, Jon Gosselin is busy doing charity work. The last charity was about 2 weeks ago for his brother's Soccer Team.
This time, he is bar-tending at a local pub and donates his Tips to a Food Bank. Seems like Jon is doing what Twist of Kate was originally scripted for. "Doing normal Jobs" for a day....
But since the kids have been approved for filming, looks like the kids will be used to save Kate's TV career.
Source: TMZ
TMZ has learned Gosselin served as a "celebrity" bartender at the Ott House Pub in the town of Emmitsburg.
But get this -- Gosselin didn't take in a single dime last night because the whole thing was a charity event and every cent Jon made in tips went straight to a local food bank.
Despite the good deed, we hear he pours a mean Piña Coladouche.
They don't understand boundaries, they don't respect anyone. In a conflict over wants and needs, they expect you to conform your feelings to THEIRS. That is why they nag incessantly about hate. So, yes unfortunately, if they want to watch children, they won't care how anyone else feels about it.
This is not to say they are ignorant about social convention -- quite the contrary. But they learn the "rules" so they can get what they want and stay a step ahead of whomever might interfere. And if they can make a social impact in the process, so much the better.
They stir up trouble. They attract attention to themselves -- any kind. Narcissists want other people's *thoughts* about them. Otherwise their self-image is based entirely on feelings (their own) and, thus, incomplete. They don't necessarily want an accurate self-image, just a complete one; therefore, they prefer POSITIVE attention, thank you. But if they can't get the kind of praise they lavish on Kate, then any kind of attention will do and they will find a way to glean positive data from it. It doesn't matter to them if that positive data is real or imagined. If all they can take away from an argument is that they got the last word in it, then they will gloat about that.
You can try to reason all day with them, but they will simply turn it into a debate about feelings. That is their area of confidence; that is all they care about. Your energy is better spent discussing the issues with the people who are "on your side", and keeping your mind open to inventive ways to make an impact yourself -- your niche, so to speak. It could be anything from calling for a boycott of TLC's advertisers to leaving comments at news sites, exposing the media's lies or Kate's irrationality (just don't get bogged down in Kate fans' dumb, circular debates), or reminding people why they should not watch her show.
Your energy is better spent discussing the issues with the people who are "on your side", and keeping your mind open to inventive ways to make an impact yourself -- your niche, so to speak. It could be anything from calling for a boycott of TLC's advertisers to leaving comments at news sites, exposing the media's lies or Kate's irrationality (just don't get bogged down in Kate fans' dumb, circular debates), or reminding people why they should not watch her show.
20% no. Bring on Kate plus 8.
Looks like Kate Plus 8 will only run for a few months, (to get ratings) and then Twist of Kate will air after.
Hopefully only a few will tune in for Kate Plus 8.
As for Twist of Kate. Who cares, if the kids aren't in it, by all means, go ahead with the show.
How do you think Jon feels when Kate left him with the kids all by himself with NO HELP. No Nannies. Nothing! Just Jon and the 8 kids. Kate spends 10 minutes with her kids and complains about it? She has 2+ nannies and a full-time chef. All she does is "hide" in her pad lock bedroom with Jamie Ayers.
From her "blog". No, I'm not talking about the fake tweets her 2 fans created.
----------
Loud and coming right at me. A low roar getting louder with each passing second:
“He hit me.”
"Well, she hit me first.”
“No I didn’t. You took my Polly and wouldn’t give it back!”
Enter kitchen right.
“Mmmmmoooommmy!!!!! He's following me!”
“No, I'm not. I have to go to the bathroom too!”
Oh, no. Here comes another one – this time from kitchen left!
“Stop staring at me!”
“I'm not. I was looking at the stink bug on the wall behind you!”
“Yes, you were!”
“No, I wasn’t!”
“You’re staring at me right now!”
“No, I’m not. I’m talking to Mommy!”
Help! Where is my referee uniform???? Honestly, this is every minute of every day in my house with eight kids!! OK, I'll admit it. There are the sweet moments of love and compassion to balance these never-ending stressful encounters, but for some reason, these unloving loud outbursts are what I tend to remember.
I'm to the point where I hold up my hand and say, “I’m not the complaint department, and I don't like how black and white stripes look on me, so go work it out. If you can't, I'll help you.” And I leave it to them. Most times I'll give them the words to say like, “Tell him that you don't appreciate it when he does that. That it isn’t nice.”
Then I go back to my task at hand, usually making dinner, while mentally devising my plan the next time I hear the stampede of unrest coming my way! Just the other day, at about altercation No. 219, when I heard the first sounds of disagreement I considered running in the other direction and hiding … just couldn't think fast enough WHERE! No joke! (Any other moms know the feeling?)
I never knew this “tattling” thing could be this emotionally tiring and time consuming! Not until I had two almost-10 year olds and six 6 year olds, that is! And I have a feeling there are many more jungle outbursts to be handled …
Help me!!!!!!!!
Kate forgets to mention that her kids sometimes call her by a sitter's name. Don't remember which interview or maybe it was a episode on TLC where Kate talks to the camera.
Found it! Season 5 - Turning 5 & the future.
“All of a sudden, your kids are calling you your babysitter’s name. I got that for the first time the other day. That kills you. I’ve never had that before in my life. Very difficult.”
Well maybe if you spent more times with them instead of going around "talking" about how much of a good mother you are, the kids will actually call you mom.
OrderlyL said... [Reply]
Kate takes out her anger on the kids. A vicious smack in the mouth. Hitting them for whistling. Quickest wooden spoon in the West (not to mention the East). She's more likely to murder her kids than tell them to "go work it out".
She admitted she has "a sharp tongue in the heat of the moment", so she's probably capable of crimes of passion. She knows it. Almost nobody even uses the verbiage "in the heat of the moment", except in association with crime.
Scary narcissistic mom who decided to rid herself of her "baggage"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Diane Downs: Her Children Got in the Way of Her Love

...From the starting gun, the marriage was, at best, shaky...She had wanted love and realized too late that Steve was not that love.

She found solace when she became pregnant; carrying a baby made her feel for the first time that she was actually in charge of a love that was all-dependent on her. It was a feeling of power she'd never before realized, and she relished in the delight that she was the helmswoman of her own path to total love. But, after Christie was born in October, 1974, it was back to serving Steve his meals — nevermind that she had a baby to care for and worked part-time at a local thrift store, too. To keep from falling apart emotionally, she needed to feel that emotion once again of the seed of love stirring inside her. She again became pregnant. Cheryl Lynn followed her older sister into this world on January, 1976.

Unhappily Married

...Hostile but passive, [Diane] was both bored and angry. Life was passing quickly by her; none of the things she promised herself had come true." She decided again to conceive — but not Steve's baby. Her tummy swelled again and she floated in wonderland, drugged on love. Danny was born four days after Christmas, 1979.

Diane moved in with the father of Danny, and it was during this time she began to change. Now out of the wifely manacles imposed by society and the Baptists, she seemed to ignore her duties as mother, also. The opiate of her children's love had worn off. She preferred to work, to stay away from home, to throw the youngsters on any babysitter she could find.

One sitter relates an incident that, even though she didn't know it at the time, foreshadowed tragedy. "Diane put everything before those kids. If Danny wanted attention, she would push him away...but the worst thing was — one time, I caught Cheryl jumping on the bed, and I said that was not permitted. I made her sit in a chair and think about it. Cheryl sat quietly for awhile, and then she looked up. 'Do you have a gun here?' 'Of course not. Why?' 'I want to shoot myself. My mom says I'm bad.'"

jibberjabbers....Just posting here for the first time. I do post occasionaly at 15 Min. (under same name as I'm posting here) and used to post at Moon's. For whatever reason, I can't seem to 'join' at Preesi's site. Nor can I figure out how to email her.

Point being, I sent (posted) a msg. over at 15 Min. site, under the 'guise' of telling her kudos to her for being able to have a thriving law practice, and still maintain a blog. I went on to share that one of my dtrs. is an attorney and not only would she not have time to maintain a blog, but even I, her mom, can barely get 2 min. on the phone w/her during the work week! I also included a sentence or two about the Khate to make it appear my kudos were honest/true. I thought it 'telling' that she didn't 'allow' that post to go through. What I hadn't even thought about was that it could be Julie May (the comment about the blouse was a perfect example, + why was she publicizing Kate's no., to vote on DWTS AND, also I corrected her when she put up a recent thread, re: InTouch weekly May 17th ADDITION, telling her that should be EDITION, she changed it but never posted or acknowledged the msg.) but you folks may have hit the nail on the head! Unfortunately, IF that is the case that it's Julie May, then I do believe we are all being 'used/duped' to keep Khate relevant and current. I don't think blogging about her incessently, is going to help make her go away! Has anyone just sent a post (which of course wouldn't be allowed through), just asking if she is in fact, Julie May Carson? I'll send one...all she can do is confirm, deny or avoid....what do you all think?

Re: 15 Min blog.

Interesting, her entry about anonymous posting that I referenced here on May 5 has been deleted.

For a Gosselin blog that invites participants to "hold their feet to the fire", I find that administrator to be strangely dispassionate about the whole thing. I mean, most people have strong feelings one way or the other about Kate. Why put all that time into a blog if you don't have strong feelings about the subject, don't really have a connection with the members, etc. That blog's been running a long time. Way to build up content. I count a number of ads, including some "biggies": Sprint, Aetna and Adobe.

Not that I have a problem with using some ads to recoup costs associated with running the blog. But, if advertising is that 15 Min. blog administrator's livelihood, then I have a problem with it. Because that blog is not good enough LOL!

It's mostly news. *I* can search the internet for news. On the other hand THIS blog has news, laughs, and the pursuit of truth. It's the better blog, hands down. The best! Where else are you going to find, "Gimmie my coffee"??

I've thought for a long time that '15 Mins' is just a blog put up in order to get "hits" on Kate and her controversies. The "bad" publicity Kate gets is more beneficial to her anything the pro-Kate blogs can offer.

I, too, have posted a couple of questions or comments asking some "poking" questions to the admin that were not published.

Nope, '15 Mins' is a fake blog, imo. Only exists to keep Kate's name out there.

just wondering said... [Reply]

I also know who the admin is because I've been outed, too. Now that so many people know who she is she has to stay under the radar a little more than in the past. She had to pull a few posts and she has to be a little more careful with her blog.

We have emailed back and forth several times and she is on the level. It is not a fake blog at all and you can trust her.

Media outlets know the name Gosselin is good for thousands of hits. USMagazine.com has even been conjuring up news lately, like their poll "Should Jon Gosselin Accept Cash From Kate?", when there's nothing to report.

The look and feel of "15 Min" always struck me as commercial, but I never gave it much thought -- there's always somebody trying to make a buck. I simply didn't post there. I don't buy the owner's claim that the blog was started to track all the legal coming and goings of a messy divorce. For one thing, the divorce wasn't messy by fame-whore standards. There was a little mudslinging and a little scrapping over money, but it really wasn't that bad.

The owner of 15 Min is trying to make a profit -- no doubt. If I'm not mistaken, with Google Adsense, you have to tweak your blog's content and keywords to generate the kind of ads you want. Advertisers bid for space, and the ones who pay the most for clicks get their ads displayed first. The ads pay anywhere from ten cents to a dollar, or more, per click. Adsense also pays on an impression basis -- the number of times a specific ad has been displayed. Last night on 15 Min, I also saw a Toyota ad and several small ads for divorce lawyers. Today, there are Microsoft ads, and ads for party rentals/planning.

She also has a rule: No trash talking other blogs/bloggers. She obviously doesn't have anything against trash-talking in general. So what is the reason for that level of "honor among bloggers"? Does she merely not want those conflicts brought to her site, or is it a case of the dreaded pre-emptive Golden Rule -- ensuring others treat you the way you want to be treated by "proving" in advance that you deserve it? That's why I don't like the Golden Rule -- I don't preach it, I don't abide by it. It is too easily twisted into a form of manipulation. Too easy for self-serving individuals to use it to deflect criticism and cover up all kinds of bad behavior. I prefer the Platinum Rule.

jibberjabbers said... [Reply]

jibberjabbers said... [Reply]

Not sure. I'm using google adsense and she's using a different service. So I can only speak for adsense. And the only benefits is that it keeps tracks of page impressions.

Most people have the same experience you did, JJ. They don't make much on the ads. And most people would say the same thing you did: It's not worth it. But the owner of 15 Min is the opposite. She is firmly committed to Adsense. She has a prominently displayed banner ad, and ads on the side. Right now they are for Papa John's Pizza $10.00. Yum. I have to fight the urge to click on it. LOL

She makes money on HER ads, JJ. Why aren't people clicking on your ads...ad. You have 47,000 unique visitors, whatever that means. The owner of 15 Min uses known strategies to increase revenue. She promotes her blog as authoritative: "You heard it here first". (Good, I don't have to think for myself. Thinking for oneself is just, so, selfish. People have a lot of nerve going around and finding out news on their own. Besides, I tried going to ROL for up to the minute news, but trolls monopolize all their new Kate posts.)

Also, the more search-engine optimized your site is, the more money you stand to make. When I go to Yahoo and search "Kate Gosselin filming the kids", guess which site pops up FIRST. She probably makes hundreds of $$$ a day. LOL

Is it fake? Now that I doubt, although TLC does read blogs to see what people are saying. Too many coincidences for them not to be reading. But Kate has her own blog now. We can go right to TLC, and tell them everything they need to know. I guess it's no accident Kate took the kids on a trip. Who gives a shit about Sea World; Kate fans are happy watching the kids grow up. But other people bitch about The Trips.

I do agree with Carolina Gal. It is highly unlikely a practicing attorney has time to maintain that blog. And the stated purpose -- "tracking a messy divorce"? The divorce was already tracked, in the news...maybe it is a compulsive lawyer who has to have everything tracked in one place?

Kate's blog...

She has a little poem at the very bottom. So Hannah has to be 30 before she starts dating? Can you say control issue?

Little Long-haired Hannah Joy
05/16/2010

Sarah Cynthia Sylvia Stout ... would not take the garbage out ...

Remember that poem by Shel Silverstein? “Where the Sidewalk Ends” is an old book but a new favorite of ours. Recently, I was at a book signing for my book and had promised to pick up a book for Mady and Cara. (We have a rule in our house: Mommy will always spend money on books!) While in the children's section, I happened across this old favorite that we already own (somewhere!) and laughed out loud numerous times while perusing the many nonsensical poems.

Then a thought hit me: I'll purchase it and place it on the kitchen counter with a note that says, “Read to the kids every day,” figuring I'd add some humor to our sometimes loud and unavoidably stressful days!

One night as I was heading up to tuck my six youngest monkeys into bed, I grabbed the book and announced that I was going to read two poems to each of the boys followed by two to the girls before lights out. And an instant tradition materialized!

Every night, at bedtime, giggles fill the air as we all laugh incessantly at Little Peggy Ann McKay and her imaginary array of illnesses to avoid going to school, and the personal account of what it must feel like to be eaten by a boa constrictor.

My personal favorites, though, are exaggerations of real-life situations -- ones that show us what will happen if Cara and Mady refuse to take the garbage out like Sarah Stout. Or like Hector the Collector who collects everything ... that could be us if we never cleaned up our clutter!

It's extra fun when I hear my little kids “reciting” the poems throughout the day -- makes me smile every time! Hmmm, maybe I'll borrow the corny poetry method to teach my kids the important things in life ... think it'll work????

Little long-haired Hannah Joy

‘Til 30 shall not date a boy

She'll grow up to study and be very smart

But until she's 30 from boys she will dart...

You know, something like that ...

I don't mean any offense to anyone. I just don't want to get past Kate's deception only to find someone else trying to pull the wool over our eyes.

We cannot say whether or not Al Walentis should donate his time and talent. Opinions would vary on whether his book *should* be written at all. But it doesn't matter. It's a free country; he doesn't need our approval to write a book. If I had material for a book, I'd write one too, and I'd sell it for whatever the market would bear.

That's one of the differences between a book and the blog. There is rarely pretense on the part of the author of a book about the fact that he hopes to make money. He'd probably ask you straight out -- "Buy my book!" Success of an author is usually due to talent and effort, while a blogger's "success" might be due in part to mere odds. Sure, bookstores and publishers have marketing strategies, but that will only go so far as we saw with Kate's book.

Some blogs are hobbies, some are for profit, some are hobbies that will become profitable. In most cases it would not matter, but we are on something of a slippery slope. We criticize Kate for doing something she has every legal right to do. As selfish as she is, she is within her rights and if anyone knows that, an attorney does. Making money off of criticizing Kate for making money off of her kids isn't exactly the moral high ground. Low moral ground + slippery legal slope = dead in the water...not a good place to be.

Other things don't add up right. Why would a busy professional bother with those ads? Other than her time, I don't see what she needs to reimburse herself for, but it takes time to get the ads to pay off. It also takes a lot of traffic. She would be banking on that and perhaps, in turn, on Kate's continued misdeeds.

To hopefully clarify what i meant about a slippery slope -- if Kate is not doing anything illegal by putting her kids to work, then we are left with only moral and ethical grounds on which to complain. If our morals and ethics are questionable, then there is almost no point in bothering.

JibberJabbers- in regard to calling CPS: I urge you to go to the PA Govt.site and find out about the Child Abuse Laws in PA. Nothing Kate or TLC has done is reportable child abuse in PA. Not hitting with a weapon (wooden spoon), not filming potty training or nudity, not putting a sick child on a cold tile floor in the dark ,not continually making fun of their physical attributes. All of these things are reportable here in Canada and would be taken seriously, but in PA abuse nearly always has to be immediate and life-threatening for action to be taken. I have written Rep. Murt about this and he replied,stating that he is looking into making changes in the PA law.In the meantime Kate has pretty much free rein to physically assault her children without penalty.

If Jon was given all the attention with the media, talk shows, DWTS, etc. Jon still being a good Dad to the kids, etc. Would we all be here blogging about TLC exploiting the kids because of what Khate did in the past episodes (gumgate, leaving Colin in the laundry room, etc).

Would we be planning and discussing a protest or it wouldn't even be an issue because the push and attention would be on Jon (who is the good parent?)

Things that make you go 'hmmmmm'....

Um, Jon is back on TLC's payroll. And yes, we're still blogging about how horrible both parents are. Each have made their own mistakes and NONE of them have learn anything from them.

It makes you wonder why TLC is backing such a despicable person and I feel that it is because Khate is more controversial and not because they feel that she is the better parent. It's unfortunate that the kids are the ones who ultimately pays the price. I fear that the price will continue to get higher as they get older and potentially turn to substance abuse or other forms of destructive behaviour.

You see it with other child performers who become lost as they become older and less 'marketable'. Once they get used to the spotlight, freebies, adoration from fans and then it's gone, it is a bitter pill to swallow. Especially since the 2 people who should be keeping them grounded is so 'high' on their own path to finding fame, it will not be surprising if all the Gosselin kids end up being a statistic.

I really hope that it isn't the case and maybe someone will be a parent to these wonderful kids.

A "good" parent would have had a lawyer read ALL the print before signing any contracts. A good parent would put the emotional needs of their children before their need for fame. At the time of the separation, a good parent would have shut down the show to protect their children from the anguish and embarrassment of parents going through a divorce. A good parent would not expect their children to be the source of their income and expect their kids to support them. And on and on and on...

Unfortunately for the children, TLC was an even worse advocate for the protection of these kids. Quite the opposite. The network thrived and profited from the expoitation of them. I think boycotts and protests would have happened no matter what, but it might be happening sooner rather than later because of "good", or "not so good" parenting, depending on how you look at it. Chad has 4 kids? 1st time I heard about it..

TLC is all about profit. So you can't blame them for doing what they did.

Both Jon and Kate are at fault here. Bigger part on Kate because the "Stardom" got to her.

She started caring about how she looked, and the rest was history. Now she thinks she's a star...

But I DO place part of the blame on TLC because of the following (among other things). Janet is creator and administrator of A Minor Consideration facebook page along with Paul Petersen.

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=84522815674&ref=ts#

Janet Palazzotto ....IF these children are in front of cameras and TLC got bopped on the head for not obtaining work permits for 5 years (seasons), then ...these children should be declared working/employed and protected under whatever child labor guidelines may follow in any state a camera is turned on to film them for the purpose of entertaining the public! They are selling advertiser's products. Disney got away real cheap! Book 8 real child actors for a Disney Commerical and they'd receive a nice salary..put 8 kids in front of a camera at Disney, call them reality tv show participants, let them promote Disney and what do they get? Minors do not belong on reality TV shows...especially without protections!

Janet Palazzotto Please do understand that PA DOES have regulations and the DOL could have extended their law/regulations on the books to protect 8 children and why wouldn't parents WANT their children surrounded by this industry protected? Of course the PA DOL made a decision that work permits were required! The regs are very specific...so easy that a 5th grader could understand them! Read below with the link. Were the parents paid, were the kids then employed?

"Employment—A minor engaged in a performance shall be deemed employed, if any person, including the performer, his parent or teacher, receives remuneration from the performance or if any performer in the production is paid for performing."

Pennsylvania%20Code%20and%20Bulletin.

I copied the above information by Janet from: 4-8 Please Boycott Kate Plus 8 on TLC. Link below.

I didn't know Chad had 4 kids either. I didn't know he had ANY. He's still not my fav, but IMO he got robbed tonight. I thought his Samba was awesome and deserved 9s. The only thing I saw wrong was one time, he didn't extend his arm fully. Maybe he made technical mistakes that I didn't notice.

Evan blew me away and now it's really tough to decide who I'm backing. LOL I like this show.

You do have a point there. TLC is part to blame. They could have moved on after all the drama but it seems like they want to keep Kate & the kids in the limelight.

Niecy was the one was rooting for. She brought her personality and laughter to the show.

I'm rotting for Chad just because he started off very poorly and managed to improved almost every week. This is what the show is about.

But I have a feeling that The Top 2 is going to be Evan and Nicole.

But if Chad makes it top 3, it will be a huge surprise.

The kids are back, with a nanny

---------

Were TLC filming this? If the kids did go back to Disney and TLC was there to film it. Then maybe it was to re-shoot a few scenes. Probably a few shots of the kids waiting in line, and maybe a few more shots of the kids happy and having fun while Kate isn't around to boss them...

I guess the original shooting with Kate didn't go to well, and they needed more footage of the kids smiling and having fun.
